Character leaving ruining a great story (Read 270 times)

I was so looking forward to Eric and Nicole learning the full truth together and start raising Jude their own child. A come full circle moment. And while the emotions have been palpable the elephant in the room with Nicole leaving in late July (soapssporilers.com etc.) slices into the epiphany.

Quite a shame.

Oddly I am not ruling out Nicole returning despite the friction and lawsuits between her and Days. You never know about these things. I have not read anywhere Eric is leaving which makes me wonder what they will do with him.

I have heard that Greg Vaughan is leaving too.

I am sorry for those who didn't get closure/happy ending. Sometimes going off into the sunset is a happier conclusion than we'd get if they stayed.

I have never been a Nicole fan and somehow, the characters I like least are the ones the show uses most. I wish her luck and agree it's possible she will return.

I’m happy for their happy ending to be leaving Salem together
I prefer that than the lather rinse repeat of him always belittling her because he’s sanctimonious and her being self destructive cuz she’s “not good enough” for a self absorbed narcissist
I’m not a fan of either character but do like the actors as I think they do a good job with what they have
I wish them the best, especially Nicole with her reasons for leaving as I fully support her

I'm honestly just glad it looks like there will BE an ending, as opposed to Nicole disappearing one day and us hearing secondhand that she "moved to Europe" or whatever.

I will be relieved to see both of them gone. Eric is a mopey ball of gloom and Nicole is awful with him, and while I enjoyed her with EJ the writers seem determined to go the Ericole route so they may as well just leave together with their kid. Poor Holly.
