Have you seen the movie Almost Famous? It's often on FLIX these days and I watch it every time it's on. I saw it in the movies when it first came out in 2000. It's such a fun movie. Not a comedy per se, but thoroughly enjoyable with well-drawn characters and an original premise and lots of great music setting the scene. I'd highly recommend it. |

I remember the movie as being about a neophyte enthusiastic young rock fan writer getting initiated into the rock scene, but I can't remember the details anymore.
I recall one scene on a bus where Elton John's "Tiny Dancer " was playing.
If memory severs the movie had a Laurel Canyon circa 60's early 70's vibe to it. Well worth searching out again.
The movie was made into a musical in 2019.
