1. Gabi’s back! Are you happy to see her return, and are you enjoying this actor’s portrayal of her so far?
I was happy to have a break from Gabi but it’s time to bring her back. I’m lukewarm on my first impression of the new actress. Time will tell.

2. Chanel and Johnny lost the baby. Are you disappointed or relieved the show decided to end this pregnancy storyline? And should Chanel blame Paulina?
I detest miscarriage stories for personal reasons but I’m not surprised. In this case, Chanel should not blame Paulina. She was just looking for someone to blame. I wonder if she and Johnny will still go to California some time soon.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?
Jack is in my top 10 favorite Days characters ever. It’s always great to see him but I hated it that he was confined with the Hortons. If he had gone to see his brother Steve in the hospital for two minutes, it would have been a much more satisfying visit.

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?
Theresa was a raving lunatic. Yes, I can understand her being upset to find her son and his girlfriend in a hotel room and even more upset since they weren’t supposed to be dating. But they were found fully dressed, not naked in bed. Theresa just likes feeling self righteous. Brady let her take the lead. He didn’t add much because she was pissed enough for both of them.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?
Melinda is one of those characters I’d like to see gone. She adds nothing.

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?
Leo is way more motivated to “change” than Alex. Alex likes himself too much. Leo doesn’t like himself at all.

7. Eric says he “might” be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?
Don’t tease us! Just go. He has been a downer for a long time. Whatever chemistry Eric and Nicole once had is gone, no matter how hard they try to push it.

8. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
I was sorry that Chanel had a miscarriage although it yielded some beautiful scenes between Johnny and Chanel. I absolutely hated all the scenes with Leo and his mom. Nothing entertaining about a mother emotionally abusing her son. I hated Sarah and Bonnie giving Theresa the time of day. And we had too much of Eric/Eric and Nicole, and Stefan.

9. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?
I loved Xander’s frank talk with Sarah about Victor. I’m enjoying Dr. Mark Greene as a new character. I thought Holly and Tate’s post-prom texts were sweet. And lastly, I loved Johnny and Chanel supporting each other.

1. Gabi's back! Are you happy to see her return, and are you enjoying this actor's portrayal of her so far?

Answer: When Gabi left, her histrionics and greed had gotten on my last nerve. But enough time has passed that I don't mind her return, and so far, this new actor's portrayal brings a bit more maturity to the role. But since it's only been a day or so, time will tell.

2. Chanel and Johnny lost the baby. Are you disappointed or relieved that the show decided to end this pregnancy storyline? And should Chanel blame Paulina?

Answer: I was really hoping to see this pregnancy play out, with the drama of Johnny and Chanel handling possible complications. I'm sad, but not surprised, that they had Chanel miscarry.

I don't blame Chanel for blaming her mother and lashing out. She's hurting, and Paulina is incapable of giving her daughter any time alone to process this painful loss. If Paulina could give Chanel and Johnny some space to mourn, she might find they'd be less angry.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?

Answer: I love Jack, but he was here for all of a hot minute and added almost nothing to this storyline. I really don't understand why they bothered bringing him back to Salem at all.

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?

Answer: The short answer is yes. Tate and Holly lied to family and friends and snuck off to a hotel room. Do I think Theresa overreacted? Yes. But there should still be consequences for their behavior. Tate and Holly whine about no one trusting them but then do nothing to prove they can be trusted.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?

Answer: I doubt it. Melinda is greedy and selfish but not stupid. The last thing she really wants is EJ as an enemy, especially not when she can use this information to get something she wants out of him.

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?

Answer: Leo's! It feels like Leo is really hurting and struggling to figure out how to make himself and his life better. He's also willing to put in the work. Alex is so self-involved that sometimes it's difficult to see the point of him being in therapy.

7. Eric says he "might" be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?

Answer: Don't let the door hit you on the way out! I'm so tired of Eric, and the Nicole/Eric merry-go-round is tedious and boring. I want off this ride now.

8. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Answer: Jack returns for no good reason, drives by himself from Boston to Salem for a quick visit, and originally says he is going to drive back that same night. Have the writers never looked at a map?

Also, everything about Alex and Theresa. I'm just over them.

And Eric running to Nicole to tell her that he "might" be leaving Salem was really lame.

9. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Answer: Chanel's miscarriage, mostly because of the actor's wonderful performances. And EJ consoling he son was also a highlight.

Also, Leo confronting his mother. It would have resonated more if we had seen Leo and Diana together more often, but both actors did a fantastic job with what they were given.

I have no interest in Gabi. I'm looking forward to seeing how she's written, and how the new actress portrays her, but once she's for sure out of prison, I doubt she'll be any different than she used to be. As for the actor, she's been on all of one day, so I'd say it's a bit early to tell, but she's okay so far.

2. Chanel and Johnny lost the baby. Are you disappointed or relieved the show decided to end this pregnancy storyline? And should Chanel blame Paulina?
Extremely disappointed. Chanel absolutely should blame Paulina, it's her actions that led to this. I get that she was concerned for Chanel, but she knew she was still supposed to be quarantined because she was still radioactive, and she completely disregarded that.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?
It's always great to see Jack! I just wish he'd stuck around a bit longer.

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?
To a point, but Theresa is and was being completely ridiculous. I get she has no reason to trust Holly, but she (in theory) knows her son and should trust him.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?
Of course she won't! Why would she? She has nothing to gain and everything to lose by the truth coming out!

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?
Neither. I have no interest in Leo whatsoever, and I doubt Alex's therapy will do anything to change him.

7. Eric says he “might” be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?
Since we know Nicole's leaving, I'd like Eric to go with her once the full truth about Jude's parentage is revealed.

8. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
We had a little bit of it during this week, but it would be nice if anything about the storyline involving Johnny and Chanel's baby...was about Johnny and Chanel. From the beginning, this storyline has never been about Johnny and Chanel, it's been about Paulina. Nearly every story beat has been more about Paulina's reactions to what's going on than it has actually been about Johnny and Chanel.

9. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?
The one scene we did get of Johnny and Chanel by themselves after learning Chanel lost the baby was powerful.

I am glad to hopefully see an end to her and Stefan once she founds out about the Ava boink. I liked the new actress immediately and I think she is too good for Stefan. I think new actress needs new pairing.

2. Chanel and Johnny lost the baby. Are you disappointed or relieved the show decided to end this pregnancy storyline? And should Chanel blame Paulina?

Relieved. Too problematic with the stupidity of the radiation plot, and I did not need to hear Paulina whine for 7 more months about 'her' worry. Chanel should blame Paulina at the very least for the extra stress she had through this pregnancy. It was never necessary for her to break quarantine and put everybody at risk, especially when she was fully aware Julie, another vulnerable person, was at that cabin.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?

Happy to see him. Visit was pointless. He should have visited Steve instead of having that run in with Fake Adrienne. I guess him and Jennifer having the Horton Lock Box is a future plot point started by this drive by.

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?

Yes, they are 'underage' even though Tate doesn't look it. But I don't really care. This teen scene is a complete bust for me.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?

She won't do it. I would love her to. I want her and EJ to have hate sex.

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?

Neither. Anytime Dr Saint Marlena is on screen smirking through these scenes I want to hurl.

7. Eric says he “might” be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?

Run Eric! Run far and never return! I am so very sick of his moping. I also don't give a toss about the Jude plot anymore. I wish he was EJ's biological son.

8. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Paulina being yet again front and centre in Chanel's baby tragedy. I was especially furious when she screeched "I can't leave my babeeee alone!!" when Chanel was with her actual husband. Serious boundaries need to be set for this woman.

9. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Xander talking about his relationship with Victor was good, but I absolutely loved him and Nicole, two people with a very complicated history, putting that aside to talk about their mothers, and that it was Nicole who finally made him ok with the idea of Fiona coming to town and being part of his life again. Quote would be Bonnie when Theresa was blithering about drunks at weddings and her saying when doesn't somebody get drunk and make a scene? And I loved her thwarting Theresa's latest stupid scheme. Go Bonnie!

A hard climb since the old Gabi was a one-of-a-kind spitfire. Too early to tell so I will reserve judgement, but I saw a bit of a flash of Gabi's old stinging wit.[/div]

2. Chanel and Johnny lost the baby. Are you disappointed or relieved the show decided to end this pregnancy storyline? And should Chanel blame Paulina?

It felt brutish and so sudden the way it unfolded. Blaming Paulina will not bring the baby back and will cause even more suffering.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?

Happy to see Jack and he had a fun moment with Julie and Chad. Too brief but the good news is it appears Jack will return to the fold.

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?

Theresa at her cartoonish best but truthfully the teens should have been raked over the coals. One thing to be caught kissing at the prom in the shadows near the water fountain. A whole other story catching them in a hotel room on a bed. Where sex was surely going to ensue.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?

I really don't know. I was struck with the point above about EJ and Trask possibly engaging in hate sex. Not very interested in Trask's sex life but I must say that would be quite a hookup well worth following.

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?

Neither are interesting. Just two self-centered guys trying to dignify their self-interests. Albeit Marlena had her best week in ages and her last session with Leo wasn't half bad.

7. Eric says he “might” be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?

Personally, I wanted to see Eric and Nicole learn the full truth about Jude culminating in an emotional and romantic reunion. But the way things are going that might not happen.

8. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Alex proposing to Theresa which felt very half ass. And Theresa intercepting the invite to Xander's mother put me in a rage.

9. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Quote of the week was Rafe telling Trask not to sell herself short when it comes to EJ hating her the most. Theresa was in two terrific scenes. Going off on Tate and Holly and then her confrontation with Nicole was fun.

Even better was the "fireside" chat among Bonnie, Theresa and Sarah. Superb, controlled acting from Sarah as she reacted to Theresa's strange objections to Xander's mother and visibly wincing at Bonnie's ludicrous idea of a double wedding. I guess this rather stupid storyline was the most interesting this week.

But the biggest highlight to me was Bonnie finding Theresa's discarded invite. Simply wonderful albeit Bonnie hasn't mailed the letter yet.

I think it's time for Gabi to be back in Salem. She seems ok so far.

I'm disappointed that Chanel lost the baby. I liked seeing the couple decide to have the baby despite the potential complications due to the radiation exposure. It makes sense that Chanel is lashing out at Paulina immediately following her loss. During her pregnancy the exposure to radiation was a huge focus so it seems natural that Chanel is blaming Paulina.

3. Jack returned for a short visit. Were you happy to see him? Was it worth it?

I like seeing Jack but his visit seems pointless. I would have liked to see Jack visit Steve in the hospital. He should have had a scene with his grandson Thomas.

It's ridiculous that they made a point of saying Jack drove from Boston. It would take almost 17 hours to drive to my house in Illinois from Boston. Why on earth would he drive that far and then plan to drive back home without spending the night? Have the writers forgotten that Salem is in the Midwest presumably in Illinois judging by the Illinois map that hung in the police commissioners office for awhile along with not being too far from Chicago?

4. Are Theresa and Brady right to come down hard on Tate and Holly for sneaking out of prom and meeting up in a hotel?

Yes, she was. I'm definitely biased as the mom of a 17 year old daughter.

5. Melinda is threatening to tell Nicole the truth about Jude. Will she do it? Do you want her to?

I doubt it. It's fun for her to taunt EJ but I don't think she wants to find out what he would do to get back at her if she blows up his life.

6. Both Leo and Alex are in therapy. Which sessions are more interesting to you?

Leo's therapy is more interesting. He wants to change his life for the better. I don't think Alex wants to change. He will have a bigger need for therapy when the truth comes out.


7. Eric says he “might” be leaving Salem. Would you like him to stay or go, and why?

He should go back to Africa. He can pop into Salem for family events. I'm tired of him pining for Nicole. He only wants to be with her because she's married to someone else. When they are together the relationship never lasts very long.

Too much Paulina and Theresa.

The scenes with Johnny and Chanel along with EJ and Abe.
