1. Xander killed Konstantin. Should he have? Were Brady, Alex, and Theresa right to throw Xander under the bus as soon as the police arrived?

No, I don't think he should have killed Kon. If memory serves Kon had lost his gun somehow (I could be mistaken) and he was choking Theresa. But with three "strong" males looking on (and one with a gun) they could have disengaged Kon from choking Theresa to death.

That said Brady, Alex and Theresa collectively threw Xander under the bus without fleshing out the subtlety and frantic urgency of the dangerous situation.

Xander hasn't shown his menacing side much of late but some of it came out here as he was willing to risk shooting Theresa (who he loathes) to kill Kon.

Not a lawyer and I couldn't tell you the legal ramifications of Xander's actions, but it appears to me he isn't entirely innocent. Again, I would have to watch the scene again to get a feel of what went down and especially if Kon was unarmed at that moment.

But in dire situations like these it is very difficult to sort things out. True Kon was a terrible murderer but that alone doesn't justify killing him but, in this case, things got very hazy and Theresa was in grave danger.

Xander should never trust Brady and Alex again though. He never trusted Theresa so that doesn't change.

And as for Kon's cryptic last message it will be nice once Alex is found out to not be Victor's son. But from the beginning I find it an overreach that Victor kept details of his other son quiet. Baloney. Besides I take it as a swipe at Philip who we KNOW was Victor's son.

2. Now that Stefan knows that Jude isn’t EJ’s son, how will he use that information?

Stefan will surely use it for some nefarious gain.

3. Was Abe right to use the family loyalty card to get EJ to stop the petition to oust Paulina as mayor?

I don't think EJ gives a rat's ass about Abe's desperate ploy.

4. Were you surprised that Johnny and Chanel decided to move to LA? Do you hope they return to Salem soon?

I haven't been invested in their soft bore coupling and at least for the time being I won't miss them.

5. Any guesses on what Chad and Julie will find in the safe deposit box? And do you like Chad and Julie checking it out together?

Perhaps it is some diabolical jigsaw puzzle Clyde cooked up. But whatever transpires I hope the end result is Abigail returns alive albeit not certain what kind of condition she would be in. Julie tagging along is a good idea.

6. Lucas is a free man. Do you hope he sticks around Salem?

Sure, but they need to expand his horizons beyond his mama. Kate dearly loves Lucas, but it is high time he branches out a bit.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Most galling to me was Theresa got away Scot free. I was so HOPING Kon would shoot her (not kill her mind you) simply because the little worm deserves to be punished for her sins. 

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Let's face it Monday's episode was a tour de force. Beautifully paced and action packed it was nice to see Days up the ante for a change. Part comedy as the fumbling Theresa awkwardly offered Kon a bottle of water all the way thru to the showdown at the end with Kon getting shot by Xander.

Clyde maneuvering around suddenly corrupt Rafe and sad sack Chad was amusing but more importantly the prospect of Abigail still being alive perked me up.

Best scene was the showdown between Kon, and the gang and my favorite quote was the way Johnny asked stuffy Marlena "what's up with the card?" I also laughed when Alex bluntly told Jada "Xander killed Kon." Threw Xander under the bus and rolled over him backing up and then going forward.

My thoughts....

1. Xander killed Konstantin. Should he have? Were Brady, Alex, and Theresa right to throw Xander under the bus as soon as the police arrived?
I don’t think Xander was planning to kill Konstantin or even trying to kill him. He wanted to save Theresa and likely didn’t care whether he injured Konstantin or killed him, especially once he learned who was behind his daughter's abduction. It was horrible of Xander’s relatives to point the finger at Xander. Victor would be horrified to see his family not supporting each other. Xander could have gone to prison for the rest of his life.

2. Now that Stefan knows that Jude isn’t EJ’s son, how will he use that information?
He will force EJ to help him break Gabi out of prison.

3. Was Abe right to use the family loyalty card to get EJ to stop the petition to oust Paulina as mayor?
I don’t blame Abe for trying to appeal to EJ in any way he can.

4. Were you surprised that Johnny and Chanel decided to move to LA? Do you hope they return to Salem soon?
I was a little surprised it happened so fast. They are probably my current favorite couple on Days so I hope they come back. I do want Johnny to be successful though. Maybe he will start a production company in Illinois. Hollywood is no longer the only place for movie production.

5. Any guesses on what Chad and Julie will find in the safe deposit box? And do you like Chad and Julie checking it out together?
I am fine with Julie going along for the ride. Chad is such a snore. Maybe they will also find the key to the time capsule there.

6. Lucas is a free man. Do you hope he sticks around Salem?
I do hope he stays. Lucas needs a new girlfriend. He’s been too unlucky in love.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
This list is always long for me. First, I will hate it if Abby is alive. Such a tired old trope with this show. Chad is boring and Chad and Abigail were a bland boring couple. Second, I find the mayoral recall story dull. Third, I didn’t like seeing Chanel suddenly forgive her mother. I would have expected her to not forgive her mother until her baby was born healthy. And last, too much Stefan on my screen.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?
I loved the honest chat between Johnny and Chanel. They are the most mature, honest couple on the show and I love how they support each other. I can understand Johnny’s reluctance to tell Chanel about the job offer under the circumstances. But they were able to get past that and not make it into a bigger issue than it was. And I was happy to have a little break from Nicole. I for one won't be sorry when she leaves.

Christine: It's what Victor would have done! I don't think Xander was purposefully hunting Konstantin, but the man tried to kill Maggie, previously abducted Victoria and was strangling Theresa. So, I have no problem with Xander killing Konstantin and was disappointed that everyone else was so quick to call him out to the police without any context.

And if it means I never have to see Konstantin again on-screen, I'll give Xander a medal!

Christine: Oh, he'll use it against EJ as frequently as possible. Immediately, he'll likely use the info to get EJ's help in freeing Gabi and maybe get EJ to team up to oust Kristen and insert himself as the CEO once again.

3. Was Abe right to use the family loyalty card to get EJ to stop the petition to oust Paulina as mayor?

Christine: Abe overplays the "we're family" card sometimes. Lexie has been gone a long time. It's not like we're talking about helping or protecting Theo. This is about Paulina, who was happy to fire EJ, so why should he care about what happens to Paulina?

4. Were you surprised that Johnny and Chanel decided to move to LA? Do you hope they return to Salem soon?

Christine: I was, but I liked how Chanel told Johnny off for not talking to her about this decision right away.

If this were real life, I'd say this could be a good move for them. But I love Johnny and Chanel, so I'm really hoping they won't be gone long.

5. Any guesses on what Chad and Julie will find in the safe deposit box? And do you like Chad and Julie checking it out together?

Christine: None, but I'm guessing it will lead them to believe that Abigail is alive. And I love that Julie is going along. She needs to be a part of more adventures, and she and Chad work well together.

6. Lucas is a free man. Do you hope he sticks around Salem?

Christine: Yes! But he needs a decent storyline, perhaps with a new love interest. Lucas needs some direction in his life and relationships that don't revolve around Sami or his mom.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Christine: That everyone threw Xander under the bus and Paulina's constant whining.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Christine: That Xander killed Konstantin, and I'll never have to see him again. Also, Johnny and Chanel talking through their issues and working it out like a normal, mature, adult couple.

Xander promised Maggie as he left in pursuit of Konstantin that she would never have to worry about him again. I think he was looking for any opportunity to avenge Victor and protect Maggie. Konstantin strangling Theresa gave him the perfect opportunity to do exactly what he wanted to do and get away with it. Should he have done it? In those circumstances, yes. And given that Alex and Brady literally did not move a muscle to help Theresa when Konstantin was disarmed and throttling her, Xander had no option in that moment. And it was appalling that all 3 turned on him the moment Jada arrived. Theresa's life was in no danger from Xander, but she could have died instantly if Kon got his hands on her windpipe. I would have preferred to see the 4 of them unite in solidarity against Konstantin and in remembrance of Victor.

2. Now that Stefan knows that Jude isn’t EJ’s son, how will he use that information?

Blackmail EJ of course! Pity EJ isn't DA anymore but I'm sure Stefan can use what he knows to force EJ to help him with Gabi.

3. Was Abe right to use the family loyalty card to get EJ to stop the petition to oust Paulina as mayor?

Nope. Paulina disregarded public safety for her own personal reasons and has no place holding public office. In this instance EJ is correct.

4. Were you surprised that Johnny and Chanel decided to move to LA? Do you hope they return to Salem soon?

Yeah it's one movie. Go temporarily there for the shoot and see how it goes before committing to a permanent move.

5. Any guesses on what Chad and Julie will find in the safe deposit box? And do you like Chad and Julie checking it out together?

An address. What they find there i don't know. Won't be Abby behind the door. I love them working together, bit worried about Doug watching the kids.

6. Lucas is a free man. Do you hope he sticks around Salem?

I don't really care. Never been a Lucas fan but he's been OK this round. More watchable than Harris or Paulina both of whom cost the show way too much money.

7. What annoyed or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?

Everett talked about but not seen as Marlena violated his privacy. I'd rather see him on screen than hear about him yapped about.

8. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

The end of Konstantin. And that epic scene where Xander spoke to Victor and made it clear that he did it to avenge him. "Legally I'm in the clear, but you and I both know why I killed Konstantin. And maybe now you can rest in peace."
