Subject: Quoting feature
Hi members. Some of you use the quoting feature as a means of disagreeing with the member you are quoting. I have recently received feedback from several quoted members that they are feeling hurt and in essence like they are being told their opinions are wrong, whether or not that was the intent. We all know that everyone has a right to express their opinion. However, when this forum was started, it was created with the intention to make this the friendliest Days site on the Internet and give us an alternative to the forums where arguing is the norm. While I do not wish to inhibit conversation in any way, I also want to be mindful of members’ feelings. So go ahead and post whatever you were going to post, but in an effort to be cognizant of fellow members’ feelings, I am asking those who use the quote feature, to minimize using that feature to disagree with someone. You are welcome to use the future for all other purposes—including agreeing with another poster.  Please help me keep this forum and safe and friendly place to chat. Thank you for understanding.
