Did anyone else watch the Young Sheldon series finale last week?
We certainly needed tissues to get through it, but we thought it was beautifully done. If you watched, what did you think?

I watched it and thought it was good. My favorite character on the show was Me-maw. In later years the show focused more on Sheldon's family than Sheldon but that was ok, it seemed like that was the way it was supposed to be. I thought the last show was a nice balance of the characters with some humor mixed in with the sadness. When Young Sheldon first started I noticed the resemblance of the mom on the show and Laurie Metcalf who played Sheldon's mom on BBT. I found out it was Laurie Metcalf's daughter who played young Sheldon's mom and I thought that was cool.

heroicmuse, Great review! Young Sheldon and TBBT were very different shows and I loved them both for different reasons.
But I thought this finale was so well done. I thought it managed to remain true to the overall story arc set in TBBT, and be completely true to its characters. And as I lost my father a couple of years ago, many of the beats in this story resonated.
I'm going to miss Young Sheldon and I'm curious to see what they do with the Georgie and Mandie spinoff.

Did anyone watch the 1st Georgie and Mandie episode last week? I don't know how I feel about it yet. The laugh track was a bit strange. But I think it has potential.

I liked it, but I didn't think it was as good as Young Sheldon, at least not yet. I don't like the laugh track and the meta-joke about how shows need to have laugh tracks was a waste of time.
I think they should have stayed in that tiny house. It would have been a better set up for the future.
But it definitely has potential.

I'm pretty sure the show is filmed in front of a live audience, like The Big Bang Theory, so it's likely real laughter and not a laugh track. But I haven't had the chance to watch the premiere yet. I'm hoping to get to it soon.

I didn't realize it was a live audience. It still seemed strange and out of place for some reason. I agree heroicmuse they should have stayed in the tiny house.
