I started watching in 1998 during the 'swamp girl' era. I was in high school, and everybody talked about the show so I knew I had to give it a look. Previously, I had been raised on the CBS soaps only - specifically Guiding Light & The Bold and the Beautiful - and I knew nothing of NBC dramas but I was curious. So, I tuned into Days one afternoon and I just fell in love with Krista Allen's Billie instantly. She was so beautiful and intriguing, and everything you could ask for in a soap vixen. She totally got me hooked me on Days. She's probably the least liked of the three Billies, but she got me into the Billie character and now I have a lifelong love affair with the character.

I started at the beginning watching it with my grandmama. Bo and Hope are my all time favorite but I loved Steve & Kayla’s wedding when he signed his love to her. Also enjoyed Julie & Doug / Marie & Alex / John & his Izzy and of course the ones who started it all Tom & Alice and Shawn & Caroline

Ah, this is such a nostalgic thread. My first favorites would definitely have to be the storyline from 1995 having to do with Carrie/Austin/Sami. I was 13,and that story is what got me hooked on Days. I was so fascinated with that story. I can remember feeling so bad for Carrie and Austin, and how badly I wanted them to get back together. Yet, I felt a sympathy for Sami. Even when I was first starting out as a fan,and learning the characters, I already knew that there had to be a reason for Sami to behave the way that she did. I enjoyed reading any and all soap magazines that had this triangle front and center. To this day, Sami remains one of my favorite characters on the show. That character is what started my love of Days.
