At Alex’s place, he is annoyed at the press release about Bella closing. Theresa is getting ready to go to the gym. He tells her he knows she ran straight to Maggie after he told Theresa Bella was closing. Yes, she did. Maggie is her friend and sponsor. He apologizes for accusing, but Maggie called him right after and told him she wants to work at Titan again. So he’s bringing Maggie back, but on his terms. Theresa thinks it’s a great idea. She wishes she could help at Bella by getting workers their next give. She suggests Alex move people around in the company like he offered her. She doesn’t think Corporate America is right for her. She thinks she will maybe start a blog and hire a staff. She lets it slip that Maggie and Konstantin are engaged and makes Ben promise not to say anything. He can’t believe it. Mostly he’s distressed over the idea of “that sleazeball” getting his hands on his father’s money. Theresa claims he wouldn’t do that, he's too respectful. Alex scoffs at that. What is Maggie thinking, marrying a “Kon” man? She massages his shoulders to relieve his tension. He looks like he’s about to kiss her and she pulls away to head for the gym. He heads for the shower while she has a self-satisfied look on her face.

Look, they stretch credibility on this show a LOT - but they are expecting me to believe Alex Kiriakis has read David Copperfield, and can cite a character in said book that parallels Konstantin? I don't bloody think so!

I suppose they are trying to show growth with Alex quoting literature and business publications, but I didn't buy it either.
It really made me cringe when he said Konstantin would take "his father's" money. Showed where his priorities are. I also hate him referring to Victor as his father and not because we know that's a lie. It's because Justin is the father who raised him and loved him and he barely had any relationship with Victor.

Xander went through the British school system, he would know that book, and I'd buy it from him, but not the moron that is Alex. And yeah, cringe every time he calls Victor 'his father'. When the truth comes out I will be happy for Justin, and Xander of course, but won't feel a thing for Alex
Disgusted with Theresa, who knows that Kon is planning to empty Maggie's bank accounts and run, telling Alex that he is a 'sweet man' who is good for Maggie. Unreal.
Oh and forgot that he acts like he is doing a favour to Maggie by 'letting' her work there. Victor left her 49% of Titan if I read that will correctly. Same way he acted like he was a saint for 'letting' her live in the house that she owns half of. Jerk.

Maybe some self-awareness in there somewhere as Theresa mumbled "what does Theresa want to be when she grows up?" I didn't like her green workout thing but am pleased at least for now she is bolting the company.

I find it funny that this thread says "Ben" when I'm sure that it's supposed to say "Alex". But I guess it doesn't matter at this point anyway because they're practically the same character, except that Alex is not a reformed serial killer.
I find myself caring less and less for Theresa as time goes on and the window for her to confess her secret before it's too late is rapidly closing. How am I supposed to care about her as a mom to a teenager when she's scheming to steal a guy's fortune and she's allowing Konstantin to basically screw Maggie over, you know, the woman that she claims to care about and who is also her sponsor? I mean, people are going to be mad at her regardless but it's going to get much worse for her the longer she chooses to remain silent. I really hope that when everything comes out that Maggie never speaks to her ever again and she also quits as her sponsor. And I also hope the entire town has nothing to do with Theresa ever again. She's basically irredeemable at this point. She either needs to be killed off permanently or rot in jail for the rest of her life; I don't care which. I'm sure Tate's not going to need his mom much at this stage in his life anyway.

I never even noticed it says Ben, it is funny because there is no real difference in him. Not like Theresa/Gwen where even beyond the wig, it is a different person. Ditto Nick/Bobbyeverett
And yeah, Kon tells Theresa he is planning to empty Maggie's bank account and take off, and Theresa tells Alex he is just a sweet man who makes Maggie happy. Then goes crying to Maggie as her sponsor. Truly awful human.

Woopsie! That's hilarious! I corrected the title and references in the post.

Meant to also say that it was totally unrealistic for ALEX (not to be confused with Ben) to be criticizing the press release about Bella disbanding. He would have had final approval of the press release. He would have seen a series of drafts and made whatever edits he wanted and it would not have been released without his approval.
