Eric is going over the budget again. Sloan comes in. She's happy because she got a new client who will pay a large fee. (She leaves out that Stefan hasn't paid her yet). Eric hopes it's enough to cover their expenses. The budget software says they're in the red.
Sloan looks at the computer and says the problem is that Eric marked everything as a fixed expense when some things change from month to month. She can fix it easily.
Sloan promises she can fix this and asks where Jude is.
Sloan says she wants to bring Jude to the living room for a cuddle.
After bringing Jude into the room, Sloan and Eric continue talking. Eric has an idea. He could go into editorial photography to make more money. Sloan suggests he get a job at the Spectator. Eric thinks that's a great idea. He asks Sloan to watch the baby and goes.
Sloan talks to the baby about how Eric is so kind and decent and honest and he'd never trust her again or have anything to do with her if he knew the truth. So they have to make sure she gets to be Jude's Mommy for longer. She says she has to make a phone call.
Later, Jude won't stop crying. Sloan says this is just like her life, just when she thinks she's in the clear, something goes wrong. She picks up her phone again.

Eric still seems to be in his "DUH" phase. Despite the red flags being shoved up his you know where.

I, too, loved the levitation joke!
Eric is so love blind (again).
I think this is the first time that Sloan actually felt a little motherly to Jude (at least from what I saw). Even though Days writers keep pointing out Jude's awkwardness with her, I felt that she's actually coming around a bit towards him.

Sloan told Jude she wants to be his mommy forever. That's a lie. She wants to be Eric's wife forever. She's Nicole for the 2020s.
I was surprised Eric would make light (pun intended) of levitation considering his mother has been possessed multiple times. No levity there.

She seems to actively resent Jude, even though she's the one who was so desperate to keep him when Trask stole him. Doesn't have a maternal bone in her body. |

Sloan only wants Jude around because it keeps Eric around. Honestly, that may be the only thing that keeps him safe from Sloan right now. |
