Sarah in her PPE outfit enters Paulina’s room. Paulina feels groggy and can’t focus on work or TV. She misses her family and husband. Sarah tells her that the grogginess is normal. Paulina got meds for nausea. Her mouth is dry, Sarah tells her to drink more. She examines her neck. Paulina wants to know when she can get out. Sarah tells her that she has to be examined for radioactivity before she can leave, 2-4 days max. Paulina whines: No end in sight.
Sarah says it is a drag but it will be over soon. They talk about Chanel and Johnny being at the Horton cabin. Sarah says they probably were not expecting the snow storm. She says the cabin is well stocked with firewood and blankets. Paulina looks perturbed. Possibly constipated.
Paulina has received a transcript of EJ’s press conference. She reads the entire thing, only in slow motion. EJ did this in 5 seconds, it feels like this takes about 5 minutes. Paulina complains that EJ is smug and sleezy (she chose him!). This is not how to apologize to a wrongfully accused teen. Sarah says her heartrate is up, so start thinking happy thoughts.
After she gets the truth from Johnny she hangs up on him and calls Salem Public Works, huffing and puffing with importance. She is angry because they tell her it will be hours before they can clear the bridge. She does not accept that it is still snowing and nothing can be done because she is the MAYOR and they should get their plows out stat. She has a flashback to Chanel giving her a ‘please live’ pep talk.
Then she takes off out the door, covered in fresh radioactive iodine that is risky to any vulnerable child or old person she might encounter, and says the following infuriating line: You hang on baby girl, Momma’s coming!

I don't blame Paulina for being overly worried about Chanel. She's trapped in a hospital room imagining the worst. The flashback worked this time. Shows how very close Paulina is to her youngest daughter. It was very in-character for Paulina to walk out of the hospital, radioactivity and all.

She could literally kill somebody. At least throw on some PPE.

To her credit Paulina could see thru the Johnny and more obvious Julie bluffs. Mothers are often like that when it comes to their children. Mothers live in perceptual fear their children are in danger.
But leaving the isolation room is horror movie stuff. Dumbass clown. Surprised she could let herself out just like the other scene where it appeared The Bistro was open.
On the promo I laughed when Marlena was quoted as saying "Paulina is radioactive." which of course has a double meaning if one sees the humor in that.

I tell you what, the staff at the hospital are probably the dumbest people in Salem.
