Stefan has retained Sloan to help him get off with time served. EJ arrives in the conference room at the police station and they talk privately. Stefan vows to make EJ’s recording public if he doesn’t go to bat for him with the judge. He wants EJ to give him back his share of the family’s fortune and expects to come back home. EJ mocks that idea.
In the judge’s chambers, the judge calls EJ’s (half-hearted) efforts to help Stefan nepotism. His crime doesn’t warrant time served. Sloan pleads Stefan’s case and the judge says she will take it under advisement and her clerk will contact them with a decision.

If only the judge knew ... not nepotism, as EJ loathes Stefan, just good old fashioned blackmail
Good to see Sloan working and showing us why she is actually good at her job, unlike her deadbeat hubby

Ha. You mean pretending to work playing around with his camera. I am sure the thriving metropolis (the one we see in pictures) Salem is full of throngs who want to spend money on some sort of half ass amateur photographer. Stefan is a stale presence as usual but I did enjoy the way he recoiled when Sloan brought up her retainer fee and Sloan picking up on his reluctance immediately. Typical DiMera talk; "My blackmail is better than your blackmail." The EJ/ Stefan standoff seems too muddled to me. That Judge was in a word unpleasant company.

If Stefan is in prison, why was he wearing a suit?
