Hey guys. These days most of us have pets. Tell us about your fur babies and feel free to post pictures. I'll start. This is Louise. She's a sweet 4-year old Russian Blue and we adopted her from a rescue 10 months ago. She's extremely attached to Ron, follows him around and insists he lay down next to her all the time. She loves to nap in his favorite chair.   |

We have two! Darcy (cat) and Astrid (dog).
Since I have a photo of Astrid handy, I'll start with her. She's a long-hair German Shepherd and about to turn 1 year old. She is both stubborn and super sweet. Some of her puppy stages have been quite a challenge: mouthiness, digging, chewing, etc. Between the ages of 6 and 9 months, she dug a hole in our hardwood floors, tore an area rug to pieces, destroyed three dog beds, and chewed a hole in my favorite sweater. Don't even get me started on how she dug up our lawn or tried to get under the fence!
Thankfully, we've managed all of that and she's becoming the dog we always hoped for. Consistent training and lots of exercise and play time with other dogs seem to be the key.
Here's a photo of her in the back of my car. She loves car rides!

ProudTVJunkie, my first cat was named Darcy after Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, even though she was a female. White angora and gorgeous!

ProudTVJunkie , my first cat was named Darcy after Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, even though she was a female. White angora and gorgeous! Yes! Our kitty is a girl named Darcy. Pride and Prejudice is a favorite of mine and my daughter's. We've both read it multiple times, and the the Keira Knightly/Matthew Macfadyen movie version is our favorite.
Kate (my daughter) was looking for a gender neutral name, and she loves the name Darcy.
Our Darcy is about 1 & 1/2 years old. We adopted her when she was 10 weeks old. She is the sweetest cat, loves to play and cuddle. She plays fetch with a bottle cap. We have a red Coca Cola bottle cap. If you throw it across the room, she runs after it, picks it up in her mouth and brings it back to you to throw it again. She's really a fantastic cat and we just adore her.
