Happy Sunday! Here are our questions for this week:
1. The Pawn story is back after almost 40 years! (John came to Salem all bandaged up in 1985). How do we feel about this retconned version of John's history and the resurgence of this story?
2. Many fans objected to Paulina and Abe being miraculously cured by Lexie's otherworldly visit. How would you have liked this story to play out instead?
3. No Everett/Chad/Stephanie/Jada stuff this week. Is the pacing off or did you appreciate a break from this story?
4. What was the most frustrating aspect for you of EJ catching Holly with Tate?
5. There were a lot of scenes of friends and family talking this week. Do you enjoy that or did you feel it bogged the stories down?
6. What aggravated, annoyed, or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week?
7. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week?

Great questions. My answers:
1. The Pawn story is back after almost 40 years! (John came to Salem all bandaged up in 1985). How do we feel about this retconned version of John's history and the resurgence of this story? I hate it. These people are all too old to be relitigating this story and as a member said in another thread, why did Konstantin wait all these years to get his revenge, whatever it may be? I also don't like that Steve is talking to Marlena about this instead of John. I love that the vets are front and center but this story feels like it's trying too hard to keep them relevant.
2. Many fans objected to Paulina and Abe being miraculously cured by Lexie's otherworldly visit. How would you have liked this story to play out instead? I hate ghosts and devils and supernatural stories. There were a million other times and other ways that Abe could have gotten his memory back. It was happening naturally over time. It didn't have to be someone waving their magic wand and making it happen all at once. A little realism please.
3. No Everett/Chad/Stephanie/Jada stuff this week. Is the pacing off or did you appreciate a break from this story? Blake/Everett/Bobby has been overexposed so I'm happy for the break. I'm not a Chad fan. Billy Flynn is a very average actor at best and he really doesn't add much to the show.
4. What was the most frustrating aspect for you of EJ catching Holly with Tate? Holly keeps losing her tongue and when she finds it, no one will listen. EJ and Nicole have made up their minds and refuse to hear or believe the truth. Jamie Martin Mann is an amazing actor and the one who is saving this frustrating storyline. Emily O'Brien is a horrible actor and I find her unwatchable.
5. There were a lot of scenes of friends and family talking this week. Do you enjoy that or did you feel it bogged the stories down? I feel there's a lot of filler lately while the staff writers were on strike. The conversations have not really moved the stories forward, so I feel it bogs them down.
6. What aggravated, annoyed, or disappointed you on Days of Our Lives this week? Steve talking to Marlena. EJ and Nicole refusing to listen to Holly, and Holly not trying hard enough to make them hear the truth. Theresa's condescension toward Tate.
7. What was your favorite story, scene, or quote this week? I enjoyed seeing Roman acknowledged as Eric's father and Jude's grandfather. I liked the actress subbing for Sloan. I loved Tate not accepting Holly's excuses. I'm glad Wendy and Tripp have been saved but their conversations need to be a lot shorter. And last but most, I hated the concurrent retelling of the death of Konstantin's daughter.
