Peacock is becoming a big player in sports. As an example, they are hooked up with the Big Ten in football and basketball. Tonight and last week they featured the Iowa women's team with uber superstar Caitlin Clark.
They also have a show vault, original shows and movies as most would know. I loved the first two "Ted" movies and starting tomorrow they have a "Ted" show.
I do NOT like streaming stuff but sometimes you can't resist.
Their biggest coup to date though is their exclusive upcoming Saturday NFL playoff game between the Chiefs and Dolphins.
With a move like that it is obvious that Peacock has become a major player in television.
All that said this old-fashioned fool still preferred Days on NBC, news interruptions and all. And I could retrieve the parts I missed with On Demand so annoying as it was it wasn't the end of the world.

Fans are not happy that they have to have a Peacock sub to watch their favorite teams -- in the Playoffs no less! Not sure if it was announced early in the season but it seems like a nasty trick to play on Chiefs and Dolphins fans at this point in the post-season.

The game will be on TV in Kansas City and Miami so the local fans will still be able to watch without Peacock. Paying for a month of Peacock for $5.99 is much cheaper than when people pay for a pay per view boxing or wrestling event.
Hopefully anyone who signs up will see that there's a lot of good things on Peacock including sports, movies, current NBC and Bravo shows as well as NBC classics and Peacock exclusives and Hallmark movies.

I'm watching Days now. I saw a Peacock commercial advertising a deal for $29.99 for a year. That's a good deal.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the way things are headed for all sports. I'm a Nascar fan, and they just announced that starting in 2025, Cup races will be split up between FOX, NBC/Peacock, Amazon Prime, and TNT Sports. I don't actually have a Prime subscription, but when the time comes I may sign up for one, at least for a month or two, so I can watch my races. But being able to watch sports via broadcast or just one platform appears to be a thing of the past.
