Oh la la. It’s Latin night folks! That means lots and lots of hip shaking goodness and, hopefully, some hot nekkid mens!! Woo-hoo!!! Let’s get this party started! Jaleel and Kym – SAMBA (24)The rhythm is gonna get me? Then why am I left so rhythm-less? There was definitely something off with this routine. I don’t care what any judge says, Jaleel had Z-E-R-O Samba action and was just completely flat. Plus Kym was flapping around a little too much – it was like she dipped into Cheryl/Karina territory. Don’t go to the dark side Kym! Noooooo!!!! My Score: 7Melissa and Maks – SALSA (21)Poor Melissa. I know she had a rough week (concussion anyone?) but the poor girl HAS to start worrying less about if it’s right and start worrying more about having fun. She always looks so scared during her dances. She, somehow, manages to look out of control and stiff at the same time. Oy. My Score: 7Maria and Derek – SALSA (27)It’s Big Bird! Oh, wait. It’s just Maria. My bad. I’m cringing watching this. First Derek rips off his shirt like he’s William Levy. Then Maria TOTALLY lays a big ‘ole smackeroo right on him. WTH?!?! Number 1 – Derek, you are no William Levy. Please stop. Just..stop. Number 2 – DEREK, STOP KISSING YOUR STUDENT!!! THAT IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I’m sorry, but you lose points for that mess. My Score: 7 I should point out that their actual dancing wasn’t all that bad, but it wasn’t fantastic either. Katherine and Mark – ARGENTINE TANGO (29)This has the potential to be amazing. Even though I hate Mark, she might be able to make this incredible. Side note: During rehearsal, she kicked him in the “naughty bits” a good number of times. Thanks Katherine!!! We, at home, appreciate it more than we can say! The routine was pretty good though. I didn’t leave me with a feeling of “OMG THAT WAS FANTASTIC!!!!” but I didn’t hate it. I give her high scores for dancing her part well. It’s Mark’s fault that the tone was..off. My Score: 9Gavin and Karina – SAMBA (19)I really want him to rock this routine, but I’m seriously doubting he can. He seems like such a sweetheart that I want him to do well. But this routine? Oh dear. We’ll just have to say this was his good-bye dance. Poor guy. Bless his heart. My Score: 6William and Cheryl – ARGENTINE TANGO (29)Before this routine even starts (heck, before I’ve even seen the rehearsal footage) I can’t express how much I want this to be awesome. I’m having flashes to Gilles and Cheryl’s previous/famous Argentine Tango and I’m getting all tingly waiting to see if William can step it up and BRING IT!!! Please be good. Please be good. Please be good. Ooooh Jesus. Thank you sweet baby Jesus. I need a minute. I’m all tingly in all the right places. That was seriously so hot. And it was really good too!!! I’m talking near perfection. Heck, I’m calling it perfect! My Score: 10Gladys and Tristan – SAMBA (22)If it weren’t for Tristan I would have FF’d this routine. Poor Gladys. I’m not sure if she or Gavin will go home, but they are seriously falling behind the pack. So sad for Tristan. As for Gladys, with her being the eldest contestant, I can’t really compare her to Katherine (for example) and for a senior citizen, Gladys is doing pretty well. But she’s not up to par with everyone else, so I’m afraid her time is getting short. And that means we’ll lose our lovely leprechaun. But I don’t want to think about that now. I’ll think about that tomorrow. My Score: 6Roshon and Chelsie – SALSA (26)This kid needs to remember that he’s NOT Michael Jackson. And this is not a Michael Jackson dance contest. PLEASE STOP DOING IT!!!!! I really don’t like watching him. If I didn’t have to give him a score for this column, I’d totally FF him too. Ugh. I hate him that much. This routine is just … just … I don’t know. I hated it. I hate the way he moves. He might be on time, but he’s too loose and his technique is ATROCIOUS!!!! Ugh. My Score: 5 Seriously, I hate it. Donald and Peta – ARGENTINE TANGO (27)OK. That wasn’t too bad. In fact, it was really good. Loyalty makes me say that William’s was better (I’m not all gooey after Donald’s – TMI? My bad ) but Donald had a really good routine. Peta straight up copied some of Cheryl’s choreography (from Gilles’ routine) but that’s what you do, I guess. Slight point deduction though. My Score: 9Judges LeaderboardKatherine……. 29 William……….. 29 Maria………….. 27 Donald………… 27 Roshon……….. 26 Jaleel………….. 24 Gladys………… 22 Melissa……….. 21 Gavin…………... 19 My LeaderboardWilliam……… 10 Katherine….. 9 Donald………. 9 Jaleel…………. 7 Melissa……… 7 Maria………… 7 Gavin………… 6 Gladys………. 6 Roshon……… 5 Going home: I think it’s a toss up between Gavin and Gladys. I’d love to see Roshon go home (seriously hate him) but I doubt that will happen after his scores from tonight. We shall see!! OK, going back to watch William again. Mmmm. William.

Jaleel- Eh. So so. Melissa- Wait she was dancing? I was too distracted by Maks in white pants and bare chested. Yum. Maria- Too much flash for me. Wait, I think that sounded like Len. Lol. I didn't like the shirt ripping off and the kiss. Yuck. Katherine- Her legs! OMG!! I liked the dance. I can't stand Mark but she isn't terrible.\ Gavin- Poor guy. He just doesn't have a Latin bone in his body. William- OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooo hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roshon- I didn't hate it as much as you did. I don't really care for him but I didn't find it too offensive. Gladys- Poor Gladys is just out of her league now. I don't wanna see Tristan go..... Donald- I really liked their routine. Peta is like a freak of nature. She is so skinny. It wasn't William but it was good. Side note- I LOVED Louis and Anna's dance that they did. It was HOT!!

Jaleel. Unimpressive. Not bad, but compared to the later dancers, he's not up to par.
Melissa. She's still anticipating/thinking ahead. I can still read her thoughts on her face and her movements are cut short because of the anticipating. I wanted Scruffy Maks, not clean shaven Maks. But I'm not truly complaining.
Maria. The kiss, eh. Too much. The ripping off the shirt. Boy, you ain't Maks or William. Not bad, but so not good either.
Katherine. I giggled and rewatched their intro simply because Mark kept getting kicked. Sadistic fun since I can't stand him. The dance, not "hot" as in steamy, sensual, but perhaps it's the storyline they set up with the drunken hubby and the wife showing up that took the steaminess out of it. Rewatching it, yeah the dance was good, but it was just off a bit for me.
Gavin. I loved the fact part of the dance was hid by that atrocious camera angle where we saw the audience hiding Gavin's footwork. That's how bad it was that the camera crew knew to hide it.
William. I. Am. A. Puddle. Seriously. Holy Hotness, Batman! He had me at the very beginning and I was just drooling when he dropped that tablecloth/towel/whatever and that walk/posture right after that....HAWT!!!!
Roshon. I can't stand the Michael Jackson moves. I know it's second nature to him, but really, enough is enough. Still, it wasn't a bad dance overall in terms of fun and perky and happy and audience involvement/reaction.
Gladys. I love her, but yeah, she's being outshone by the younger ones. I loved she rocked the solo and was tall and proud and shook it! And Tristan just makes me smile.
Donald. I honestly can't say what Donald did besides that ultra-suave walk thing (which did take away from the intensity of the dance, the sexual tension specifically had to be rebuilt each time he did that). I was too busy watching Peeta. Dang that girl is limber, and I was just in awe of that and the dress. The dance was good and hot, but I do prefer William's dance.
MrsM, I too loved Louis and Anna's dance. I usually skim the extra dances, but this one I watched.
On Good Morning America, they mentioned something about William's injury being a torn ligament, but I didn't hear anything more about it. They were commenting how amazing he did despite the injury.

Len is Mr Cranky pants so he usually rains on everyone's parade. Ironically he's the only judge that actually knows anything about ballroom dancing.

I stumbled on clips of Maks in the Ukranian Bachelor show that he was on. I couldn't understand a word of what they were saying, but I found myself jealous watching him get touchy feely and kissing a girl. Lol.

UPDATE: Gavin has danced his last dance. He is a super classy dude and I hate to see him go (even if I'm not all that surprised). Up next week - MOTOWN!!!!!

Gladys must have a serious fan base... She just wanted very good & I thought Gavin's ( even though he lacked Samba) was more complicated. At least she & Gavin should have been in the bottom 2 & not Jaleel.
Also, is it just me but Cheryl Burke looks downright pudgy or maybe it's just because the other female pros are so thin??

I think more people are voting for Tristan than they are voting for Gladys. Yes, Cheryl is curvier than the other sticks, I mean lady dancers, but she is by no means heavy. She has a healthy body.

I think Cheryl looks good. I am not a fan of hers, but I think she at least looks healthy.

Ok. Short story alert: About 4 years ago, Dominic and Hawk/Hok (from SYTYCD) came to our city to perform at a local dance competition - they were the finale. My studio was there competing, so we (the other teachers and I) talked to Dom and Hawk at the end of their set. They were both super nice and asked if there were any clubs they could go to in town (it was Saturday night, after all). We said "Heck yeah! Let us take you out." So we all went out dancing. (A) It was amazing. (B) Those guys REALLY can do all those tricks you see on TV. They were flat out awesome. After closing the club down, we offered to take them out to dinner (at 2am) and we all ended up at a Steak 'N' Shake (greasy diner, if you aren't familiar). We all quizzed them about what it was like on the show and when we asked about eliminations (if they were fair, did they know they were coming, ect) Dominic said the words I'll never forget. He said "Above all else, you must remember it's a reality show. They know how to make good TV and that's what they're there to do." So, yes. I completely believe it's rigged. I believe the voting doesn't matter at all, and I consider it a waste of time. So instead of watching it as a competition show, I watch it as an exhibition of talent (or train wreck depending on the star) and that's all. I may pick a favorite, but I never vote and I never trust who is in the bottom two (or three). It's all manipulated for ratings, IMO. In case you don't remember who Dominic and Hawk were/are here's their best pieces (IMO): Dom - who could NOT have been nicer. Seriously, the guy's adorable and EXACTLY like what you see on TV. And Hawk/Hok - he was a bit more reserved, but, apparently he was dating Lacey Schwimmer at the time ( ) and they were having some problems, so his mind was elsewhere - that's what Dom said - but, in any case, Hok was still very nice.

I believe that about every reality show. It's all about the entertainment. How else did Sanjaya stay on Idol for soo long.
