Salem continued to mourn the loss of Victor Kiriakis.
heroicmuse and I are joined by doolfan4life , to debate EJ's need for revenge, if Sloan and Eric should try again, and if Sarah is being protective or selfish. Also, what does our round table team hope for with Philip's return to Salem? Read on to find out.

Enjoyed the Roundtable and count me in too as having Victor pushing Nicole out of the window as my favorite Victor flashback so far.
I am on the cynical side when it comes to flashbacks because they feel like a partially cheap shortcut way to dredge up sentiment, but I must say for the most part the Victor flashbacks have been varied and surprisingly effective. He is obviously sorely missed.

Excellent round table, doolfan4life, heroicmuse and ProudTVJunkie. Just like doolfan4life , I am hoping for a secret switcheroo and Jay showing up at Chloe’s door instead of JPL. JPL was never Philip. He didn’t give it the layers. Chloe will surely be furious when she learns of the extensive scheme to make everyone believe Philip was dead. I hope when she calms down and realizes Philip lost his mind she will acknowledge her part in it. She never made Philip feel as secure and loved as she could have. And Brady was constantly trying to come between Philip and Chloe and pushing Philip’s buttons. How many times did Philip find Brady hugging Chloe? As an aside, Philip got vilified for hitting Brady but Xander is not. And how will Philip react when he learns that in the year and a half he’s been gone, Chloe has been with Brady, Stefan and Xander and is now engaged. That may send him back to the sanitorium. Very curious how it will all play out. I love how fervently Roman defends the Pub’s clam chowder. It’s essentially his parents’ legacy and Sloan was pretty disrespectful when she said she didn’t like it. I don’t like clam chowder either but I’d be nicer about it. I thought the show did a poor job of segueing into EJ’s revenge story so abruptly. I’m surprised how much I’ve come to like Melinda Trask now that they’ve made her into more than a one-note, single-purpose character. And I have enjoyed the Victor flashbacks immensely. He was larger than life.
