Chloe is listening to Kate and Victor through a speakerphone.
Kate: Philip’s not looking for you. We made sure of that, with the note you wrote him.
Chloe: What are you talking about?
Victor: Would you like to do the honors, Kate? Or shall I?
Kate: Oh, let me, please. Last night, Philip received a note from you, Chloe. It was even in your handwriting. It says:
Dear Philip,
This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but I’m leaving you and Wesley. I’ve met someone else and I tried to fight it but I can’t anymore. I know that you and Wesley will do fine without me and that’s the only reason I can do this. I’m sorry, Philip. Take care of each other.
Chloe

Victor: That note is a masterpiece, Kate. Short and to the point.
Kate: Why thank you Victor.
Chloe: No. No, that’s crazy. He’ll never believe it.
Victor: Why not? It’s your M.O. You fall in love, you get bored, and you move on to the next victim.
Kate: You did it before to Philip.
Victor: Then she did it to Brady.
Kate: And Lucas.
Victor: And of course Daniel.
Kate: That’s when she did it with Philip.
Chloe: But I would never do that to Philip. He knows how much I love him. He …
Chloe starts crying.
Victor: You reap what you sow, Chloe, remember that. And this note will ensure that Philip gets over you in no time.
Kate: He’s probably looking through his little black book right now.
Victor: Philip falls in and out of love so easily.
Kate: Maybe he’ll get back with Belle.
Victor: No, she’s with Shawn and I want her to stay with Shawn. I hope Philip doesn’t take up with that Morgue girl.
Kate: You mean Stephanie?
Victor: No. The one with that irritating accent. The girl he took a bullet for.
Kate: Oh, you mean Morgan.
Victor: Morgan, that’s right. I didn’t much care for Stephanie either.
Kate: Too superior … in an inferior sort of way.
Victor: I like Melanie. Is she still single?
Kate: I believe she is.
Chloe: Stop it. You’re both insane. You don’t care whether your son and grandson are miserable.
Victor: Insults and tears will get you nowhere, Chloe. Olan, are you there?
Older man: Yes sir.
Victor: Take her away. Sell her to the highest buyer. Or the lowest buyer. I don’t care.
Olan: Yes sir.
Chloe: No wait. You can’t do this. I’m pregnant. I’m carrying your grandchild.
Kate: Olan, does it look like she’s pregnant?
Olan: No ma’am.
Kate: Nice try, Chloe. I’ll give you some credit for thinking on your feet.
Chloe: But it’s true.
Victor: Good bye Chloe.
Kate: Byeeee.

Poor Chloe. This is enough to make her lose the baby. Stupid Kate. You are pregnant before you start to show that you are. (Philip noticed a difference in her, but other people would not see it as fast). Kate should have told them to do a test and be sure before sending her off. I hope she is found before they sell her. Can't wait for Philip to get his clue. Thnaks for the great chapter.

oh this story is truly my favorite one in the Phloe saga I love it so much! I love the way you wrote the lines for Victor and Kate and sounds just like something they wouldsay. I mean the whole line Victor says about her being sold into white slavery and her already being a slut so being a slave won't be that different! And then the reference of Morgan with the annoyin accent PRICELESS cuz I totally agree she had the PHONIEST ACCENT EVER! This chapter gave me so much life. I can't wait til Philip finds her I hope the unborn child is okay if she miscarries or something Philip will never forgive them! Can't wait to read MORE!

LAKE HOUSE

Lucas and Brady have made Philip some lunch. A soft boiled egg, toast with butter, and a glass of milk. The three of them are in the kitchen while Philip fiddles with the food, but doesn’t eat any of it.
Lucas: You’ll get over her man, I promise.
Philip: Go to hell, Lucas.
Brady: Hey hey, don’t talk to your brother that way.
Philip: I’m sorry, Lucas, but you of all people should know that you don’t just get over the love of your life. Did you ever stop loving Sami?
Lucas: That’s different. Sami is a woman of substance.
Philip: No it’s not any different and I’m tired of the two of you trashing Chloe. You don’t know her the way I do. You never did.
Lucas: I was just trying to help.
Philip: When I lost Belle, and Melanie …
Lucas: And Stephanie.
Brady: Don’t be so helpful, Lucas.
Philip: … it hurt like hell, but somehow I knew I’d go on. I knew I’d get through it. But Chloe and me … we’re supposed to be the endgame. I fell in love with her 12 years ago and I never stopped. I don’t … I don’t know how not to love her.
Lucas: I’m sorry man.
Philip takes his cell phone out of his pocket and fingers it.
Philip: Maybe I should call her. But she’s probably with him … the other man. Do you think it’s Daniel?
Brady: I don’t know.
Lucas: Probably.
Philip sighs.
Philip: I need a shower. Listen, you don’t have to babysit me. You have lives. You should go.
Lucas: Uh uh. I told you we’d help you through this.

There’s a knock at the door. Brady goes to answer it and comes back to the kitchen a moment later with Bo.
Philip: Bo, what are you doing here? Did Brady and Lucas call you too?
Bo: No, I need to talk to you and Chloe. ... You look like hell. What happened to you?
Brady: Chloe left him.
Lucas: For another man.
Bo gets a nervous look on his face.
Bo: When did this happen?
Brady: Last night.
Bo: When was the last time you saw her?
Philip: Yesterday morning.
Bo: When was the last time you spoke to her?
Philip: Um, I don’t know. After lunch. I called her while I was driving to the opera house construction site. Why?
Bo: How did she sound?
Brady: What’s with all the questions?
Bo: Just asking. When she left you, what did she say?
Philip: Nothing. She let this note do the talking.
Bo: Let me see that.
Philip hands Bo the note and Bo takes a handkerchief out of his pocket and uses it to hold the note.
Brady: What are you doing?
Bo: I don’t want to scare anyone here …
Lucas: Too late.
Bo: Victor and Kate escaped from prison.
Philip, Brady, and Lucas: What???
Philip: When?
Bo: A few days ago.
Philip: Why weren’t we notified?
Bo: I wasn’t even notified until this morning. I came here as soon as I heard.
Philip: Oh my god. You think they have Chloe?
Philip hits Chloe’s phone number on speed dial and listens anxiously for an answer. Fear turns to panic as it goes into voicemail.
Bo: Don’t panic, man.
Philip: Don’t tell me not to panic. They have her! Oh god.
Bo: We’re going to analyze this note for fingerprints.
Philip: I knew this would happen. I knew it.
Lucas: Hey, look on the bright side. This probably means she didn’t really leave you for another man.
