Just a reminder for those who receive Peacock off of Xfinity (Comcast) it will no longer be offered free for myself and many others.
If you have top level service, you might still get it for free but for many starting June 26th it will be offered at a discounted price of $2.99 for one year. I am guessing after the one year it hikes up back to whatever the going non discounted rate will be which would likely be seven or more bucks. But I'll worry about that later. One step at a time.
In order to take advantage of the $2.99 discount one has to RESUBSCRIBE up again with Peacock. The first step they require is saying the name Peacock into your voice activated remote and then proceed from there.
Now being technically clueless I can just envision myself having a nightmare trying to hook back up with Peacock. Hopefully it won't be difficult, but I am not holding my breath.
Last thing I want is to miss a slew of shows and try to play catch up because I can't figure out how to resign up to Peacock.
And unlike the old days trying to get them on the phone is like climbing a tall mountain.
Anyway, good luck to us all and hopefully it will be a smooth, albeit more expensive transition.

I don’t have Comcast- or any cable and I’m now paying full price (I had a discounted rate at first) and I only pay $4.99 per month. After having Peacock for a while now I honestly think it’s a good deal. It’s my cheapest streaming service. Since I don’t have cable I like that I can also watch things like Hallmark and some news shows live.
For me it’s worth the price.

Some Comcast viewers aren't losing access. I received a message from Comcast that I will continue receiving it free. I think it's because I have their internet. I agree that it's a worthwhile service wendylou. I'd pay for it if I had to. We watch shows and movies on Peacock daily. Having access to Hallmark and USA programs is great.

I've been surprised how much use I get out of Peacock. There's usually one just-out-of-theatres movie a month I want to watch (M3gan, Of An Age, Cocaine Bear), plus all my Bravo shows, plus Days. I find myself using it a lot more than Paramount+ or Amazon Prime.

Yes Kpatch it was an email. I get one more month and then my price goes up a dollar a month. I did notice that if I went to a yearly subscription it would be $59.99 per yr which would take me back to the 5/mo price.

Thanks wendylou. My sub is up in September so I guess I'll get an email notification next month. It's great to know that they offer a discount for paying for a full year.

I’m definitely loving Peacock. My free subscription with Spectrum just ended earlier this month, but I have no problems paying for the full subscription. Peacock has a lot of great shows, and I love that I have access to Hallmark. Both the app on the iPhone/iPad and Apple TV are fully accessible, and they are building a library of audible described shows/movies for the blind and visually impaired, which is a real selling point and very important to me. I’ve been very happy with the service, and will continue to pay to continue watching Days and other shows/movies.

Thank you for posting about that!
