Loved the interaction between Father and son;I hope that Philip getting in the car means he is going to see Chloe next can't wait.Told you this is what you would see  Yes jc20886 Chloe is next. I am quite excited about it.  |

There's so much I enjoyed in this update. The Phloe flashback was terrific. Victor and Philip's conversation was so good. Very interesting that Victor warned Philip about Melanie. I'm not sure Victor will be able to stay out of it though. I am glad you liked the flashback! I so enjoy writing teen Phloe. Kpatch read the flashback for me earlier to give me her opinions and she liked it as well so I was hoping I was on the right track with them. I know my teen Phloe is different from the show, but I am hoping I kept their "essence" intact. |

Ok so it's been awhile since I responded to my inboxes...so sorry I really do appreciate all the comments and questions and support. I love that you guys are still with me on this journey. I've missed so much that it seems odd to go back and answer all the questions now, but I will address a few that were asked by multiple people. Why did Philip decide to take his marriage seriously instead of sneaking around with Chloe like he initially wanted?This is about Philip's moral code. He may be from a family that has questionable business interests but he also was raised in a very traditional manner. Victor might be a misogynist but he also taught his son about honor and respect and handling responsibilities. Cheating on his wife, even one he can't remember, wouldn't be something Philip could easily do and now that he has gotten to know Melanie better and considers her a friend it is even harder for him. So basically he has decided to do what Chloe suggested back at the Holiday Inn, be a stand up guy, get to know his wife without cheating, and make a decision after that. What's with Victor acting nice all of a sudden? He must have something up his sleeve.Nope not up to anything. I know how Days likes to make characters exaggerations and cartoons but I don't. Victor is a man with a lot of power and money that he likes to throw around, but before all of that he's a father. After watching his son waste away in a bed for almost a year, Victor's main concern is making sure Philip has a good happy life. In Victor's mind getting Philip back all the things he lost is the way to do that...hence the deal. But the longer Philip is awake moping and complaining about feeling controlled and being forced to live a life he didn't want, Victor had a change of heart. Simple as that really....he wanted Philip happy...his idea backfired in that capacity...so he let it go and gave in to Philip's "demands" (finding out about his past (ie the Ipad of files) and letting him make his own life choices without penalizing Chloe). Of course, Victor will have opinions along the way, he is Victor Kiriakis, but he's going to TRY to let his son be an adult.
What about Chloe? Is Philip going to ever face her and tell her about his plans to stay with Melanie?Philip's main concern with Chloe right now is Parker. He wants to talk to her about what happened and where they go from here. However it is a conversation he is dragging his feet about because he knows it will be painful. His marriage and getting to know Melanie is not as pressing to him right now. Philip is seeing that decision as the inevitable one that he had to make, and that Chloe will "get" it since she was the one that pointed it out to him the first place back at the Holiday Inn. The real question is how will Chloe TRULY feel about Philip's decision to spend more time with Melanie? Another thing to consider is will Philip be able to pull this off? He's so invested in Chloe. Could he actually deal with her in a strictly platonic nature while he tries to figure stuff out with Melanie? The end is so near...we are in the final two chapters of U2, I'm just slowly posting it in chunks because I am obsessive. LOL
On a lighter note...is anyone watching Outlander?  |
