We have an HP Smart Tank printer that just doesn't work right. It doesn't communicate properly with our computer. I have to try 7 or 8 times every time I want to print anything. It automatically goes to "paused." I've contacted their support and it works better temporarily but I am at my wits end.
My computer is a Mac. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. It's supposed to be Mac compatible.
What home printer do you recommend? I love the smart tanks but hate the printer.

My printer has been acting up ever since we moved it to a different room. I hope you find one you like Kpatch.

I’d make a recommendation but as most of you know I repel technology literally We have an hp printer and it never works for me My husband does exactly the same things I do right after me and it works just fine I just accepted I’m not meant to know how to do anything beyond the very basics

I have an HP office jet. For the most part, I like mine but I have a problem with it communicating with my desktop at times. The printer will print, but for whatever reason, it doesn't complete and disappear from the print queue like it should. I've chalked it up to the fact that it's running through the WiFi vs being connected directly to the PC but now that I think about it, it may be the age of it too. I've had it close to if not more than 10 years now. I don't know anything about smart tanks. What are those?

mae00 , cartridges are falling out of favor because they are considered ecologically unsound. So smart tank printers have ink tanks that you fill and they are supposedly less costly over the long run. Here's an example.

I've had issues with my printer as well, and it's fairly new. My husband has a printer that is old and it still works pretty well. So I use that one when mine acts up. To me the older technology is sometimes better.
