No DNA test is without drama in Salem! heroicmuse and I are joined by Trey to debate Sloan doing the predictable thing, if Dimitri should marry Gwen, Abe's abduction, and more! And are Chloe and Xander destined to be Salem's next couple? Read on to find out what our round table team thinks...

Enjoyed the Roundtable. Lots of varying viewpoints and two curious slightly off kilter storylines involving Abe's weird abduction tale and Megan's grand marry off her son plan.
And for a change based on the blurbs I am looking forward to this week's batch of shows. On paper it looks promising. But delivering the goods on screen is a whole different ballgame. But at least the Beyond Salem stuff is essentially over. But I don't think Days has hit a groove yet this year and hopefully they start soon. It is way past overdue.

Great round table everyone! I think it is completely in character for Sloan to tamper with the paternity test, and yes, sadly predictable. Like heroicmuse said, Nicole and the others should be smart enough to double check the test. Why would they trust anyone? I wish they would let Chloe be without a romance. She had a fling with Stefan which they tried to make "meaningful" but it wasn't. Now she's embarking on a romance with Xander and as adorable as they are, there is something hollow about it. I find Megan and Dmitri tedious. I hope they are short-lived. Talia's look skeeves me out. Her eyebrows are so distracting that I don't listen to the dialogue. I hope she and Colin both leave quickly. I liked Talia in the beginning but she is ruined.

I concur with the above thoughts about Nicole and EJ, two very clever manipulative types, blindly accepting Sloan's word. It just doesn't jibe with those characters, and it always grates when Days callously jumbles up consistent character traits for the sake of the "story."
