Will Jennifer and Daniel "Work It"?
Jennifer takes Daniel up on his suggestion that she apply for a PR job at the hospital this week, but is she hoping for the added perk of spending time with him?
"Jennifer is feeling like this is her new life in Salem and she needs to start over," explains Melissa Reeves (Jennifer). "All the loose ends with "Grandma's estate have been taken care of, and she's going through this divorce from Jack. Jennifer feels like she needs to go back to work." And what better place than Salem University Hospital? "Jennifer's grandfather was head of the hospital," Reeves points out. "It's probably the safest and most secure place for her to work."
Meanwhile, despite objections from Carly, Jennifer can't resist once again trying to pair her longtime pal with Daniel. "I think there is a side of Jennifer that is attracted to Daniel but is suppressing it," Reeves suggests. "Carly is her best friend. So Jennifer is thinking, 'Daniel is getting divorced and Carly is going through a hard time; maybe it would be good to try and reignite something between them, because they have a daughter,'"
This time, however, Carly puts her foot down and insists that Jennifer knock it off with the matchmaking. "Jennifer wants to respect Carly's wishes," says Reeves, who suspects it's the message Jennifer has waited to hear. "Maybe there is a side of Jennifer that needed to hear Carly definitely say that nothing is going to happen [between her and Daniel], to make sure it was okay [to acknowledge] her attraction to Daniel."
Taking Their Time
Melissa Reeves is thrilled that Days is talking its time developing the bond between Jennifer and Daniel.
"Viewers are seeing it from the beginning," says the actress. "Daniel is the doctor that saved Jennifer's life. He was in the hospital with her every second, and her husband wasn't." Reeves adds that the breakup of Jennifer and Daniel's respective marriages has had a positive impact on their friendship. "It really wasn't their plan," she shares.
"They're both emotionally scarred from these divorces that they didn't think were going to happen. It gives them a common bond." Whether Jennifer and Daniel's friendship will develop into romance remains to be seen, but Reeves smiles, "They've found something in each other that's clicked!"

Thanks for posting!
I'm just hoping they don't have Carly see something between Jenn and Dan, and change her mind and want him back. I don't want to see the rivalry between Carly and Jenn.
Otherwise, I have to echo that I'm glad they're taking it easy with this relationship, and it's not just a "throw 'em in bed together and see what we get". They're writing true to Jennifer's character.
