Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa), who left DAYS in November 2016, is back filming in Salem and will first air in May 2018. When she left the soap, Lilley told Digest she’d be open to a return. “I would definitely go back to DAYS OF OUR LIVES and play Theresa,” she said in the 11/12/16 issue. “I would be devastated if they recast the character without calling me first. I would love to reprise that role. In a perfect world, I would keep playing Theresa, just like how Eileen Davidson [Ashley, Y&R] has played Kristen. I would come back and do some arcs. That would be amazing. I know they say never say never, but if I were ever on a soap, it would be DAYS, because that’s really where I found a home.” - Soap Opera Digest

I'm just not sure how I feel about this. Theresa never grew on me.

I hope she's not being brought back to be another obstacle for Brady and Chloe. Theresa deserves a better story than that, but since it's short-term, I don't have a lot of hope.

Maybe she will convince Brady to leave with her

Maybe she will bring Tate to Salem to live with Brady. I don't see her return as any different than the other characters like Will who pop in and out of Salem.

Maybe she will give Brady parenting advice after seeing his bratty daughter in action. I can't imagine Tate being as bad as Rachel.
