Congrats to all the nominees. For me EJ, Wendy and Craig are deserving.
Thomas? He was barely in any scenes. And I wouldn't have gone with Chad and Kristen who were pretty good. Harris is a head scratcher.
Other deserving candidates include Ava, Jake, Gabi and the dizzy trio of Gwen, Xander and Sarah.

VICTORIA GRACE'S EMMY NOMINATION IS RESCINDED DUE TO SUBMISSION ERROR...CATEGORY HAD LOWERED THE AGE LIMIT FROM 21 TO 18 THIS YEAR, MAKING GRACE INELIGIBLE... Soap Opera Network broke the story. Grace (Wendy Shin) released this statement on Instagram: "“I was honored to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy and to be recognized by the Academy. Unfortunately, there was a huge misunderstanding across the board regarding the rules for this year’s category.” She added, “This is obviously a surprise and I am heartbroken, but in fairness to all, I‘ll be rescinding my nomination. I wish the best of luck to all the nominees. I will continue to work hard to earn another Daytime Emmy nomination next year!”

I was sad to see this news. Either way, glad she’s being mature about this. I’ve quite enjoyed Wendy, despite some of her more recent scenes being a tad annoying. I’ve enjoyed her since she first appeared last summer in Beyond Salem 2. I’m not sure why this couldn’t be resolved by her nomination moving to a category that she could actually qualify for, but that’s just me. Either way, hopefully she’ll get nominated again next year.

Sometimes I wonder about the actors who get nominated. They are certainly not the best of the best. I think they must campaign and send the nominating committee gifts. Plus, they send a reel, I believe, which is not necessarily indicative of their body of work.
The only actors whose nominations I agree with are Craig and Thomas.

I think they submit a few episodes of their work.
It's ridiculous that no one double checked the ages of the young actors nominees before it got to this point especially since the age range was changed this year.

Postponed!
Daytime Emmy and Creative Arts & Lifestyle award ceremonies are the latest casualties of the WGA strike. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences just announced that the organization is postponing the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards, scheduled for June 16 on CBS, as well as the Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony, scheduled for June 17, pending a strike resolution.
“We look forward to our community gathering together as one to celebrate our Golden Anniversary and all of the talented nominees and honorees at a later date,” the NATAS statement said.

Yeah, this strike could go on for a while. ABC just posted their fall schedule, and it's all reality shows and reruns. FOX is holding off on announcing their fall schedule.
Does anyone know how far ahead Days has filmed? As with Covid, getting ahead of the game should work in their favor.

Does anyone know how far ahead Days has filmed? As with Covid, getting ahead of the game should work in their favor. Days typically films at least 6, often 7 months in advance. And that’s just filming, there’s likely scripts written far in advance of that. Unless this strike goes into Thanksgiving/early December, they’ve got plenty of already filmed material to work with. Ordinarily, I hate how far in advance they film, but as it was with Covid, this time it’ll work out for them.

Honestly, I will write the show until the on-strike writers come back. They would have to adjust to storylines without triangles, supernatural tropes or back from the dead tricks though.
