According to the Actor playing Alex Days is the NUMBER ONE show on Peacock. That is fabulous news because the minute I hear they are wrapping things up I will be out the exit door quicker than you can say goodbye. Soap Operas are NOT meant to end.
To me there is no better show on network Televison day or evening slots. Rumor has it they will ramp up some stuff since they aren't hemmed in by network censors (we have seen glimpse of that already) but likely won't go too overboard in that area recognizing their fan base don't want them to stray too far off the grid.
And I am NOT in the category lamenting the old days. I lament plenty about the old days in many cultural areas, but people tend to forget Days has had plenty of crap moments through the years. How about that spell when the writer was trying to kill off everyone in Salem? I shudder to think.

I'm ready for them to ramp some things up, but I want to see more intertwining storylines. They had a HUGE opportunity with the deaths of Kayla, Kate, and Marlena, to bring people together more and interact, but all we are getting are snippits of people offering their condolences. No services, no memorials, nothing. We've seen more of Stephanie whining than we have of Steve and Chad has lost not only his wife but also someone who was like a mother to him. But the writers have him focusing on Stephanie. And let's not forget Johnny who has ties to all of the major families in Salem.
I'm ready for something to root for...or even a reason to tune in. Right now, it's just background noise for me while working. I don't care if it's a semi-slow budding romance that seems natural or TRUE mystery storyline...NOT a baby-daddy or equally overdone storyine. Just something that makes me want to watch. Right now I'm bored with the show and only looking forward to one person's return. I hope they don't screw that up but I'm staying guarded in my excitement. If something doesn't give soon, I sure won't be renewing. The kids can watch "The Office" in other places.

I think Robert Wilson's boast about being number 1 is hot wind. I have seen nothing to that affect and I searched for top Peacock shows. Days wasn't on the list. So maybe he's only factoring in daytime dramas. LOL. UhSir posted in another thread that the free Peacock tier is going away completely. Other than that, I'm personally very happy with the move to Peacock. I feel like I have more control of my viewing since I'm not locked into a time. It took a while for me to get over the must-watch-at-1:00 ET, but I'm over it now.

I agree the watch whenever is great! And that I can watch the same day now instead of a day later.

Days being on Peacock has led me to watch a lot of shows on Peacock.
It seems like we are in another transition period on the show.

I'm not impressed with the show since the switch. I keep thinking that they were trying to "write" the wrongs (pun intended) of the pre-move and now it's just getting stupider and stupider. Sure they were a little more risky with the threesome, the abortion, and it's nice to see new sets. But, the stories don't have a chance to be dramatic and are falling flat or just coming off as really dumb. Ex: three of daytimes long time characters were killed off, and there is no real emotion. Only one woman gets a full sad episode around her death. And life went on because Stephanie had to pout so she could jump into bed with Chad. Really?! The abortion storyline could have been written with a lot of drama, emotion, and real meat, but instead it was over in an episode.
Truly, there's on one to root for because once I do, they break that couple up for another boring or mismatched couple. And, it happens so often that it's become a joke.
It's like the writers don't know how to build drama, or how to write real people with genuine problems other than quick interfamily coitus.
If things don't start getting better, I really think that my tenure of watching the show practically all my life will be coming to an end.
