Days wins the WGA (Writer's Guild of America) award for Daytime Drama for the third straight year! In fact, they were the only one up for nomination. But in reality, you can't compare Days to the other three Soap Opera's airing. The gap between them is quite large and only Days has the ability to mix as head writer Ron C puts it "high stakes drama with a comedic twist." So, congrats to them. Surprisingly the three episodes they submitted centered around Craig, Leo and Nancy. www.soapoperanetwork.com/2023/01/writers-guild-awards-2023-days-of-our-lives-daytime-drama

Kind of hard to believe they keep winning. I think the writing is pretty mediocre, but if they keep getting these accolades, they have no incentive to change. Thanks for the info, horizon.

I think winning unopposed isn't the same as an actual win over competition.

I'm not sure winning unopposed is a good thing. It's like handing them a participation trophy. The storylines leave very little to the imagination because most of them are re-writes with different characters. But I guess they have to take the wins anywhere and anyhow they can get them. Thanks horizon!
