I could do without more death. I knew it was coming, I just wish they would have just put Marlena in last week with Kate and Kayla so that we could move forward. I'm tired of death. I want to see Kristen pay.....and I mean really pay for what she has done. Jail isn't enough. Shin and Stefan should be good. I'm tired of Shin's whining and am ready to see him get the mess beat out of him. I never liked him anyway. Thanks ProudTVJunkie! |

It's annoying how they always put Marlena on a pedestal and she needs to have her own separate time. She dies or nearly dies yearly, so ask me if I care.

And I'm guessing there will be a bunch of John and Marlena flashbacks. Not that I'm necessarily against that, (and I haven't seen today's episode yet) but where were the Steve and Kayla flashbacks? The lack of them makes this storyline feel like nothing more than filler. |

The lack of them makes this storyline feel like nothing more than filler. I'm a sucker for flashbacks and the lack thereof for Steve/Kayla (and Kate/Roman) so far is really making me sad. From the Day of Days trailer it seems there's a picture slideshow in the works for John/Marlena. I'll watch it and probably tear up during, but I have to say Steve spiriting Kayla off to a rooftop to reminisce during her final moments would've been a fitting homage to their past, too. (It wasn't as if her being at her hospital was gonna do anything for her anyway.  ) I'm hoping when Tripp/Joey get back in town, since we haven't seen Steve chatting up a Kayla urn yet maybe there'll be some kind of memorial/funeral or at least one gets hinted at. Like...the fact they aren't working to get as much angsty mileage as they can out of the "deaths" of these two women is genuinely a head scratcher to me. Even with Kate not wanting a service, it would really be nice to see more as a result of her deathing than Roman expanding the menu at the pub. Sigh. |

What ever happened to that preview showing a deceased Kayla wearing a white dress seeing a dead relative? We never saw it come to fruition.

Yeah, I remember thinking it was (sadly) on the cutting room floor when they didn't show it during the first round of orchid fever like they'd teased at, but now I feel like it's gonna come into play whenever Marlena rolls into the afterlife. My guess is she sees Kate and Kayla and then they start seeing other familiar faces. I could see Bo being in some state of limbo and telling Kayla when you get back to the land of the living, tell Fancyface she needs to track me down. Or maybe that's just high hopes/wishful thinking on my part. |
