Ian: I’ve missed you, Katie, and I know you’ve missed me too.
Kate: Seems to me you’ve done a fine job getting me out of your system ... with Madison!
Ian: Madison can’t hold a candle to you, my dear. Remember Paris?
MADISON’S APARTMENT
Brady: I’m listening.
Madison:
Brady: That’s what I thought you’d say.
Brady’s phone rings.
Brady: Hold that thought. I need to take this. Hello? Oh hi. You heard I got engaged? Who told you that? Because your sources are mistaken.
CHICAGO CONDO
Chloe ends her call.
Chloe: Hmm. Nicole said she saw him proposing to her. That’s really weird.
Philip: What’s weird?
Chloe: I just got off the phone with Brady.
Philip: How exciting.
Chloe: He told me ... um ... do you know what’s going on at Titan?
Philip: I’m executive VP. Of course I know what’s going on at Titan.
Chloe: Why didn’t you tell me that Brady isn’t CEO anymore?
Philip: Excuse me?
Chloe: He quit so he could help John rebuild Basic Black.
Philip: Seriously?
Chloe: And ... Victor hired a new CEO.
Philip: He did what???

Loved this chapter jkjpatch!!! Hope Brady will just walk away from Madison and never look back.....my arms are always open for him  Love how Phillip is VP but has NO clue what is really going on! Can't wait to read more & glad I don't have to wait over the weekend! |

It seems like Philip is really being kept in the dark. Chloe found out a lot just by calling Brady. Brady run away from Madison and don't look back....

For the first time ever I want to know about Ian and Katie in Paris....LOL Only you can make me want to see that JKJpatch.

Madison and Sami are sitting on a bench wearing sunglasses and kerchiefs.
Madison: What did you find out?
Sami: Something big is going on at Countess Wilhelmina.
Madison: Well? What is it?
Sami: They’re discontinuing the coffee, tea, and water service. Kate had me proofread a memo that suggests everyone buy their own coffee or form coffee clubs.
Madison: That’s it?
Sami: No, there’s more. They’re cutting back cleaning services to only three nights a week.
Madison: Wow. That must mean they’re not doing as well as Kate would have you believe.
Sami: I know. I guess I need to buy my own latte from now on. Bummer.
COUNTESS W OFFICES
Ian: My marriage to Madison was just a cover.
Kate: A cover? As in, she kept you warm at night.
Ian: Don’t act like a jealous schoolgirl, Katie, it doesn’t become you.
Kate: Alright, alright, I suppose I shouldn’t have expected you to stay chaste all these years.
Ian: You weren’t celebate either.
Kate: No. But ... even though there were other men in my life, there was no one else, my love. No one else like you.
Ian: For me either Katie. When I was placed into witness protection after I pretended to commit suicide, I had to build a new life, try to fit in, so no one would suspect who I really was.
Kate: And so you married Madison to seem normal? Odd choice.
Ian: Perhaps. But it worked. I had plastic surgery to change my looks, I learned to speak with an unrecognizable accent, I became a respected businessman, married my protege, and carried on with my life.
He puts his hands on Kate’s arms.
Ian: But it’s only been a half life, Katie. You’re the woman I want. You have to know that.
Kate: I do. I do. And god help me, I feel the same way about you, Vincent.

Vincent I do not remember any Vincent. This story is getting very interesting. Love that Sami thinks no coffee and cleaning is a huge problem. She is more worried about having to buy coffee then she is about the state of the company. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.
