I’m watching it. Reserving judgment since only 2 episodes have aired. It’s pretty different, not a remake but a continuation. My friend and I were saying that it seems more about the relationship of the couple and the people at the company than the situations he leaps into. That may change eventually.

I like that he has a relationship with one of the scientists, the one in the "Al role." That's a nice twist. You're right though, lots of focus on the lab people. They remind me of the NCIS characters. The guy with the eye makeup (I don't know his name) reminds me of Abby on NCIS. I really liked the fact they mentioned Sam Beckett and what became of him. And that they dedicated the first episode to Dean Stockwell who played Al.
