When Orpheus returned to Salem a free man, it was only a matter of time before he started causing trouble. Steve and John's wild goose chase was fun, but did Orpheus have to target the same old people for kidnapping? Worse, no one besides Steve and John seemed to realize the women were gone after he again captured Kayla and Marlena on Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-22-22. -- www.tvfanatic.com/2022/08/days-of-our-lives-review-week-of-8-22-22-another-day-another-kid/Read the rest on TV Fanatic and come back to share your thoughts! Good stuff. The depths of Gwen's depravation bursting thru in living color. She really does open up when she is with Leo her soulmate. She even approaches joviality when they engage in their playful verbal sparring. Alas she is at home with him because he too is a conniving street urchin who distrusts " normies." Them against the world type of thing. With others Gwen is withdrawn, untrusting and petulant.
It is tragically ironic that it would be Leo to be the one to seal Gwen's apparent doomful fate.
Days displayed great social resonance as this all went down. Gwen, the easiest target due to her sordid past and lack of friends, is preyed upon by those in power (Trask and Sloan) like vultures. The whole set up reminds me of great tragic tinged novels.
I agree the Orpheus stuff would have remained compelling as a mind game exercise. Instead, they opted for a heavy handed and clunky kidnapping.

Great column. I too would like to see Chad and Stephanie after Chad has grieved a good while. I just don't like Alex. He's so cheesy and gross! Leo is wrong for what he did, and his betrayal did bust up the platonic soulmate thing he had going on with Gwen. What a shame.
