I am curious what writing projects everyone is working on right now. Are you happy with your progress? Are you facing any challenges currently and if so, how do you think you'll overcome them?

I am curious what writing projects everyone is working on right now. Are you happy with your progress? Are you facing any challenges currently and if so, how do you think you'll overcome them? In addition to my fanfiction, I am working on a novel and a short story right now. Both are mystery/thrillers, which is a genre I love and want to learn how to master. (I also write contemporary young adult fiction.) I'm almost done with the latest draft of Heart Failure (my novel), which I hope will be the final *creation* draft so that I can edit the prose and start getting feedback. Right now, the biggest challenge is finding time. I have a deadline for a ghostwriting project on Wednesday, so getting that finished is a priority, and of course making sure I have enough material for my fanfiction that I don't risk running out since I post 5 days/week. I've also started a new short story, but I don't want to focus on that so much that I don't get the novel finished. This week, my calendar is going to be my best friend. I have a lot that I'm trying to accomplish. I'm hoping to have this ghostwriting project done by the deadline along with finishing the draft of both the novel and the short story. It helps me to be flexible with deadlines whenever possible. The only hard deadlines I have are the ghostwriting and fanfiction deadlines; if I can't get to the finish line with my other projects yet, that's okay as long as I make progress.
