I saw a tweet from DaysCafe. Apparently, Dario has hired a private investigator to solve Arianna's murder, and is stealing to pay him. Hmmm. Does this make him dumber or more symathetic? Discuss.

I figured that was the case, and it makes him so much dumber. If he really wanted something solved, he should have went to the Brady pub. What a better place to find a someone who could 1.) hack into any system in less than a few minutes, 2.) find an available non-detective Brady with an internal sense of justice (such as Hope, Caroline, or Kayla who could lead you to Steve Johnson), and 3.) they work for chowder or wanchei.

But because his brother and sisters apparently do not even discuss him, how would he possibly know about the Brady Pub? I agree it makes him dumber. Especially since he missed the rock on Mel's finger and went for the harder to get necklace. And also because he stole from his own sister instead of asking her for some cash. Why wouldn't Rafe and Gabi help him to find the killer? That's just stupid, especially because Rafe is ex=FBI. I think they are just doing the same thing that they did when they brought Arianna in...they had her selling drugs out of the pub with Roman's blessing for goodness sake, something that never would have happened in a million years...as a means of giving her a story. Now that Melanie needs a man (Jay leaving, Mark fired), we are going to make the new guy a Hernandez and give him a lame story to get him involved with the other characters. Take it back. Dario isn't dumb, the people who thought up this storyline are. Ari's dead and gone and a great many of us are not interested in what happened to her.

Well, the first problem here is the writers thinking that bringing along yet another long lost Hernandez was a good idea. The second problem is bringing said Hernandez aboard to try to solve a case about a dead Hernandez that no one really cared about when she was alive and they certainly don't care about her now. I mean, sure, some of us have questioned why there hasn't been a real investigation into Ari's death but it's not like we're up in arms pounding on Ken Corday's door demanding justice! I mean sheesh!! The vast majority of viewers were ready to run her over themselves with the way she was acting near the end of her life!! SarahBeth had her bus and Rew had her tank all ready to do the job for crying out loud!! Why are we supposed to care that Dario, who's NEVER been mentioned, is here in town to avenge his sister's death??? I posted in another thread the other day that I hope TPTB pull an "Ava" on this....only this time don't recast and send this character on his merry way.

^^^That pretty much sums up my feelings too. After all, if he didn't care enough about her to come to her funeral, then why would he risk his freedom to find her killer? I missed the whole Arianna debacle so I can't be sure, but did they even have a funeral for her? Did it happen on screen or off?
Also, who is this magical PI that can solve crimes the Salem PD can't? Oops. Forgot who I was talking about. Carry on.

Love this thread and all the posts in it and agree with what's been said.
DD, Arianna was hit by a car after she used her camera to videotape Sami's confession to shooting EJ. Some time later, there was a memorial service held at the pub where they showed a video of Arianna making her bequests.

Wow. Let it be. If he cared so much he would have been here much sooner, and he would have been mentioned much sooner. YUCK!!!!!!!!

At this point, I personally don't care WHY Dario is in Salem. The fact still remains that he is dumber than a box of rocks. As I said in a preivious thread his actions on using the same pawn shop over and over coupled with trying to take Melanie's necklace instead of the ring was just plain stupid. Sarabeth's bus or Rew's tank could come by at any moment and I would think even less of Dario's disapperance than I did of Arianna's. I loved Arianna for a while, but at the end, yep - it was time for her to go. . . . . About the only way that this storyline for Dario could be saved would be that the PI finds out that the driver of the car/truck was actually hired by Stephano or EJ to perform the "hit & run" on Arianna. When digging into who this person is, it is discovered that the driver was none other than Imposter Rafe who is currently residing with Sami and her kids. Undeniable proof to FINALLY have some justice where the Dimera's are concerened and then Sami can finally regain custody of her kids without that da** tape being thrown in her face. EJ goes to jail and Taylor realizes what scum he really is and has nothing to do with him ever again and all these stupid flashbacks stop. Yeah that might make my day

@mae, that would be a very interesting scenario! Especially if people thought initially that it was Rafe that actually ran down Arianna, since they don't know yet about Faux Rafe. Now that could actually make this storyline a little more interesting.

Thanks Sparkster!
I had to really struggle to find something that would make this storyline more bearable and that was the ONLY thing I could come up with. I just don't see much use for the character of Dario and can't really stand him anyway.
