Megan says it’s been a long time. Hope explains to Ciara and Ben about Megan’s relationship with Bo. Megan hates being defined by the men in her life. Ciara thought Megan died back in the ‘80s. Megan retorts that, like vinyl and fanny packs, she’s made a comeback. Hope found her body; she should still be dead. Megan says Hope should be dead, as she set the perfect trap, but she skirted her way around it. This time, it will end differently.

Hope tells Megan that Stefano is dead. She already knows, she also knows that Hope killed him in cold blood. Ciara points out that Stefano goaded Hope, and he only faked his death that time. Megan says he was never the same after that. Hope asks why Megan needs the prism, but she doesn’t have time to discuss it. She tells Harris to get the prism, which Hope reluctantly allows him to take. Ben tells them to let them go as Harris hands Megan the prism. She tells Harris his next assignment is to kill Hope, and hands him her gun. He points the gun at Hope.

Harris hesitates when Megan orders him to kill Hope. Ben tries to get in the way of the gun, but Ciara pulls him back as Megan tells him not to do anything stupid or his wife is next. Just as Harris is about to pull the trigger, he collapses. Megan grabs the gun and fires a few random shots before fleeing. Ben runs after Megan as Hope checks Harris for a pulse. He’s breathing. Hope and Ciara hug and thank God they’re both all right.

Ben comes back to tell Hope and Ciara that Megan got away, she had a driver waiting for her.

The next morning, Harris is in a police interrogation room. His left arm is in a sling. Hope walks in. Harris didn’t think he’d see her again, but Hope says they have unfinished business. She puts a file on the table, opens it and tells Harris to sign the paper within. Harris asks what it is. It’s an annulment paper. They technically are married as of yesterday, but once Hope files this, it’ll be like it never happened. There was never anything real between them, they were playing each other from the start. Harris hesitates. He tells her that he couldn’t kill her when Megan ordered him to. Not because he collapsed, but because he knew somewhere deep down that it was wrong. Hope scoffs and tells him to save it. She spoke to Shane and knows everything that Harris has done. She tells him that Steve is okay, but they haven’t found John yet, and if anything happens to John, she will personally make Harris pay.

Harris signs the papers. He tells Hope that he’s sorry. She goes to leave, but Harris asks her to wait. He knows she doesn’t believe what they had was real, but if he never had any feelings for her, wouldn’t she have known? Hope turns to look at him. Harris thinks Megan did something to him, he doesn’t know what. He tells her that he wasn’t always like this. He feels hollow inside. He asks if Megan could have brainwashed him like she did to Hope’s friends. Hope admits the thought has crossed her mind. She knows from seeing his military record that Harris was once an honorable man. Harris asks if she can and will help him. Hope says she’ll speak to Shane. Harris thanks her, then Hope leaves.

Later, Ben is loading up the boat. Hope and Ciara are on the dock nearby and hug. Hope promises that she’ll make more of an effort to be there for her, which Ciara will hold her to. Hope apologizes for being MIA. Ciara forgives her and understands, now that she knows what was really going on. She asks Hope about her plans now. Hope’s going to keep searching for Megan and will bring her to justice. Ciara asks her to take it easy, but Hope says it’s personal. Ciara understands. She misses Hope when she’s not around, but she has so much respect for her courage and dedication. Hope and Ciara hug. Hope tells her that nothing she accomplishes will compare to having her as a daughter. Ciara makes her promise to be careful. Ben turns on a radio, which plays Tonight I Celebrate My Love. Hope has a vague flashback of her dance in Heaven with Bo. Ciara asks if she’s okay. Hope is. Ciara realizes that this song was hers and Bo’s. Hope agrees, there are so many memories. They hug again. Hope smiles.
