Megan is flattered that John and Steve know who she is, since she left town before either of them arrived. John says she was murdered by Larry Welch. Megan asks how she could have been murdered if she’s standing here with them. Steve guesses that Dr. Rolf brought her back from the dead. Megan says she’s every bit the Phoenix her father was. John asks who kidnapped them, and Steve adds that he better not go after their families. Megan tells him that Michaels isn’t interested in Kayla, he has another woman on his mind. John asks where they are. Megan asks if her assistant didn’t give them any details, and Steve says she knows they were unconscious when they arrived. Megan welcomes them to the DiMera’s Caracas, Venezuela compound. Steve asks if this is where Megan’s been hiding for years. Megan can see why Kayla is so into smart, sexy Steve. Steve begins to threaten her, but Megan says that, as far as she knows, Steve’s family is fine. Steve says that if Megan does anything to hurt his wife and kids, he’ll make her wish Larry had fried her in that hot tub, John backs him up on that. Megan laughs at being threatened by the two restrained senior citizens spies. She likes the bravado. She clarifies that Larry only thought he had killed her before dumping her in the hot tub at Body Connection. That electrifying soak was meant for Hope. She chuckles to herself about the concept of death by hot tub. John chuckles to himself that Megan is particularly resilient, even for a DiMera, since she survived Larry killing her and being electrocuted in a hot tub. Steve asks how she survived. Megan explains that Stefano had her placed in cryogenic freeze until he could discover a cure for her injuries. Steve makes a crack about defrosting chicken and John laughs, but Megan points out that they’ve both been resurrected before, and anything’s possible with Stefano. After all, didn’t he live inside of Steve for a while? Steve doesn’t want to talk about that. Megan says they’re the lucky ones. There are others she knows who might not be so lucky. The men ask what she’s talking about, and Megan responds that history is about to repeat itself. John’s tired of playing games with Megan and demands she tell them why they’re here. Megan says they have a guest as the door opens and Thomas walks in and calls her boss. John and Steve recognize him as Susan’s identical brother and ask what he has to do with all this. Megan says he’s a hitman, one of several on her payroll. Thomas smiles and flashes a peace sign at them. Megan asks Thomas if he has it, and Thomas produces the prism, but doesn’t give it to her immediately. He held up his end of the bargain, now it’s her turn. Megan pulls out her phone and tells him that she just transferred money to his offshore Bitcoin account. Thomas hands her the prism and asks if his next job is to find the other two. Megan says that’s not necessary, and his next job will come shortly. Thomas again smiles at Steve and John as he leaves. Both men agree that Thomas is creepy. Megan admires the prism. She tells John and Steve that the prism is one of three developed by Victor Chorvat, Larry Welch’s father that, when combined, reveal hidden technology with the potential to cure all manner of diseases. Steve’s heard about the prisms, how Stefano thought they could cure his brain tumor. Megan agrees, saying that Stefano thought they could give him eternal life. John’s not sure if Megan is aware, but Stefano’s dead. No amount of prisms will bring him back. Megan says we’ll see. John asks Megan if she really thinks the prisms will resurrect Stefano. Steve wonders if she’s got Stefano’s body on ice somewhere, given her early mention of cryogenics. Megan tells them not to worry about that for the moment. All will be revealed. She wants them to go to Hong Kong to retrieve the next prism. She thinks Stefano would love knowing she got two of his biggest enemies to work for him. John says there’s no way they’d ever help her. Megan agrees, not under the current circumstances. But when she’s through with them, they won’t have a choice. She pulls two cards out from under a bust on her desk. One card has a picture of the Devil on it, and the other has similarly disturbing imagery.

I don't remember Megan, but that's okay.

From what I've read, Kpatch, Megan Hathaway was Stefano's daughter, but didn't know that until she was a young adult. She came to Salem with her adopted father, Maxwell Hathaway, who was later killed by André. She had previously had a relationship with Bo and tried to kill Hope so that she could have him all to herself. Her plan was to do this by electrocuting her in a hot tub, and she went as far as to write out a diagram on how to do so. At some point, she became obsessed with helping Stefano find the three prisms that she, Steve and John discussed in today's episode so he could be cured of a brain tumor. As stated above, the prisms were created by Larry Welch's father. At some point, she and Larry got into a fight and Larry presumably killed her, then stashed her in the hot tub at Chris Kositchek's health club, Body Connection, and used the diagram to electrocute Megan in the hot tub, hence the discussion of her presumed death.

Thanks for the explanation André DiMera. Sounds like they are trying to repeat history with the hot tub and all.

Why is Roman running the gym? I noticed he had a "Chris K." nametag. Was Chris Kositcheck a doppelgänger?

That's not Roman, monicakh, that's Chris Kositchek. Josh Taylor played Chris back in the '70s into the '80s, long before he played Roman. In fact, Chris was good friends with Roman, if I've read correctly. He's not a doppelgänger.
