Abigail was attacked! Jan gave birth to her and Shawn's baby. Belle kissed EJ again while Allie and Johnny tried to win back Chanel. heroicmuse and I are joined by mikey to debate who attacked Abigail, who Chanel should choose, if Jan's baby will survive, their biggest pet peeve in Salem, and more!

Fun round table, mikey, heroicmuse and ProudTVJunkie. Honestly, I never warmed up to Marci as Abby and I don't care about her. I'm very neutral (is very neutral a thing?) toward Chad and Abby as a couple. I never thought they had chemistry and I just don't care about them. I would hate for the murderer to turn out to be Sarah, but that's what I expect. I'm most disappointed that this turn of events probably means Leo won't be going after Chloe and Brady and I was really looking forward to that part of the story. I expect Belle and EJ will be about to hook up when Sami returns and finds them together. She will explode like a volcano. I agree with heroicmuse about turning favorite characters like Lucas and Philip into villains. I don't want to see that. It is out of character for Lucas to do that. I remember when there were way more good guys than bad guys on the show and now it's the other way around. There are no good guys anymore. Only gray guys. Add me to the list of people who think Chanel has more chemistry with Johnny.

Enjoyable and informative Roundtable as usual from all three participants. Even though the week is truncated it appears to be a huge week coming up. The show is leaning on uneasy emotions and an almost macabre atmosphere has shrouded so many things of late. I have so many mixed emotions at the moment and as mentioned it feels like Days is taking some shortcuts with storylines and characters that lessen the impact of things.
That said, depending on what happens this week but if things proceed as anticipated Days has an opportunity to blow us out of the water which of course will elicit a great deal of discission and interest. But I am getting way too far ahead of things, and we will just have to wait to see what Days has up their sleeves. I for one am cautiously pessimistic. Ha.
And yes, to echo the above post Leo by all means don't let anything stop you from annoying Chloe and Brady.

I never thought they had chemistry and I just don't care about them. I would hate for the murderer to turn out to be Sarah, but that's what I expect.. I never have, either. It's strange, because I don't think she's a BAD actress, per se, but I don't like a lot of her choices (or lack of direction?), and I feel like Abigail becomes very bland whenever she's in the role. I think Billy Flynn likes working with Marci more, but his chemistry with Kate Mansi was way, way more interesting. And all their stories since about late 2016 have been awful.

That's exactly how I felt about Marci from Day 1 mikey, and it's never changed. She's bland. No spark. Billy Flynn does nothing for me either. But I agree that Kate Mansi and Billy Flynn had more chemistry.

I’m sad to see Marci go I only like Abby when she plays her Kate mansi has a horrible portrayal of the character that I found painful to watch So if Marci can’t commit and they don’t want to recast I’m ok with this option if it means kate mansi wont be infesting the screen They can always recast down the line In Salem people aren’t really dead anyways

I felt the opposite. I never found Kate Mansi's version of Abby interesting or believable. When Marci came on the scene, suddenly Abigail was a more compelling character. Sadly, she was saddled with awful writing, but she did a great job despite it.
