I think it's real. It's been building for a while, and I'm expecting Sami to return to Salem soon so that she and Belle can fight over EJ. (I haven't read any spoilers to that effect, but that's my speculation because these writers seem to love that kind of drama.)

I’m not a huge fan of Martha’s belle so I’m not really looking forward to this

I never thought I'd enjoy this pairing, but so far I do. There's chemistry there, and they're both intelligent and have grown to like and respect one another.

I've never been Belle and Shawn's biggest fan. I don't dislike the couple, but I find Brandon Beemer's Shawn really boring. However, I'd be shocked if the show ever broke them up long-term because I know they have a strong fan base.

And I really don't look forward to hurricane Sami swooping in and claiming EJ for herself once again, then blowing back out of Salem for another six months. EJ is far too interesting a character to always be kept in this strange kind of romantic limbo because Alison Sweeney doesn't want to come back to the show full time.
