Gwen finally got what was coming to her, and it was glorious. On Days of Our Lives during the week of 4-18-22, Abigail methodically unraveled all of Gwen's secrets, step by loathsome step. The bride melted down in her beautiful wedding dress, lost everyone important to her, and was ultimately led away in handcuffs. Great recap of the sensational episode on Thursday. Emily O'Brien who plays Gwen deserves an Emmy award based on her wedding disaster performance alone. She has an interesting background. Her father is British (the name suggests Irish roots) and her mother is Persian. She obviously has a deep British accent and has spent time in England, but she was born in the USA. She is also partially deaf.
I know a lot of fans don't like Gwen and want her to disappear, but I've always been intrigued by the character, and I think even her critics must admit she earned her "bona fides" with her meltdown as Abigail exposed her catalogue of dirty deeds on the biggest day of her life.
