Thanks for sharing MM - interesting article and I agree that the show is about the characters, not the zombies.

Same here. Some people have said that this is the scariest show on TV and I don't think that it is. It doesn't scare me at all. It is about humanity and how they will survive something like this.

I don't find the zombies scary - Shane was scary, but not in a horror movie kind of way. It's too gory for my sister, which is ashame because otherwise I think she would enjoy it... but Twilight is too gory for my sister (wimp ). I find it gross at times (like when they covered themselves in walker body parts to smell like them) but most of the time now I'm usually eating supper while I watch it.

I usually gross out pretty easy, but it doesn't really bother me on the show. I guess on hubby's board that he reads on someone gave a ton of spoilers for the finale. Hubby didn't read them but the ones that did were blown away. I SOOOOO can't wait now!

I want to know who saved Andrea at the end. I had just started liking her again and was so upset that it looked like she wasn't going to make it.
Go Rick! I can't believe that Carol was trying to get Daryl to turn on Rick, and so proud of Daryl for telling her no. I was telling them all to shut up, just about the time Rick finally lost his patience with them too. So what that he didn't tell them what the CDC guy said, there's nothing they can do about it and it's not like it changes how they go about surviving, other than don't turn your back on someone you think is dead from any cause. And Rick is the one that they have all depended on all of this time and then to turn on him over that one little thing (little in comparison to everything else going on) was just so surprisingly ungrateful, esp. coming from Carol of all people.

Did you watch Talking Dead afterwards? I watched it and they explained the character a little that saved Andrea. Apparently she is a big fan favorite from the comic books. They revealed that Hershel was supposed to die. Randall was going to kill him and then they decided it was gratuitous and decided to keep him and they were pretty pleased with the result. They said there is lots of things that they can do with him now. I was so mad at Lori. I wasn't really that upset with Carol or Maggie, but I was po'ed at Lori. She set the whole thing in motion between Shane and Rick and now she is pushing Rick away because of it. That is so not fair to him.

Oh Lori is definitely at the top of my bad list, but I was expecting it from her. Carol's response to the CDC secret came as a surprise, mostly because she is usually the first to cut someone slack on their behavior and excuse it (like she did with her abusive husband) so for her to act like Rick keeping that one secret negated everything else he has done to earn their trust was hard to take. I was annoyed with Andrea when she told Lori that she hadn't lost as much as the rest of them but now I'm thinking she had a point. This is the first time that Lori really had a loss and it is showing what kind of a person she truly is.
Herschel was awesome! I lost count of how many of those things he killed. I think I may have decided not to return for season 3 if Herschel had died so soon after Dale.

Lori hasn't lost nearly as much. She still has her husband, her son, and an unborn child. The rest have lost brothers, sisters, husbands, children, and more.
Carol's response didn't surprise me that much. She is starting to find her voice and is using it. She has always been the meek person in the corner and now she doesn't have to be afraid of what her husband says.
