(Sorry it's been a while. I was designing a brand new site. But I'm back to blogging now!) Are you telling yourself that a real writer should write every day or any other “rule” about what writers supposedly do? If so, stop. If you write, you’re a real writer. Period. Sometimes, writers get in their own way by demanding more of themselves than they can give, then feeling like failures because they don’t meet their own expectations. Let’s look at the top three writing myths and what the truth is. authorjackori.com/top-three-writing-myths

Such a great article. I especially relate to myth #1 and #3. I am never able to write every day and then I feel like a failure. And then when I have to set aside a project for whatever reason, I feel even more like one. This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing!!

I'm so happy you resurrected your blog.
I definitely drive myself to write and am disappointed in myself if I don't write for a few days, but it's usually because of time constraints more than anything else.
Those times when I lack inspiration, I always say my muse is not with me.
