Do you ever realize that events are in the wrong order and you have to backtrack?

Yes! Sometimes I miss a beat or totally forgot something and have to add a flashback later.

Well, I hadn't released the chapters, but I've written well in advance and I realized I have to crowbar some other scenes in.
I was thinking about that program you use. What's it called again?

Thank you. I couldn't think of the name.
I've written 250+ chapters and I'm concerned that if I start Plottr at this point, it will be more work than just writing. What do you think?
Does Plottr have a free version because I have enough subscription services and would prefer not to pay for another.

Plottr has a free 30 day trial, so you could always download it and see if it's right for you. I think you can pay a one-time lifetime access fee or pay a yearly fee (I paid $25 for the year I think).
It might be a bit of work to input all the chapters you've already written. I wish there was a way to upload a manuscript and have it list the plot points for you. LOL. I started it after I had a draft of my novel, and it was probably a good two weeks worth of inputting. It was worth it for me because I could see easily what was or wasn't working. But if it's just as easy for you to take notes on paper or on Evernote, which is a free app, then you probably don't need Plottr.
