While I don't know for certain, I don't believe his pre-surgery face has ever been seen onscreen. Or, if it was, it was likely only in a grainy black-and-white picture.

I am far from an Andre fan (no offense!!!), but this is a thread I wish they'd bothered to explore during one of his runs. And they've never explained anything about Shin and DiMera Enterprises, as far as I can recall. It was just a name they started dropping around 2013 or so, I think, and it continued to gain in prominence until he somehow had say over the board or whatever confusing narrative they continue to peddle. |

Shin Senior was also on the board of Titan, which would almost never happen to have an individual on the boards of competing companies.
Another question would be why are Titan and Dimera even in competition? What industry do they have in common, besides batting Gabi Chic back and forth? What does Dimera even produce?

What does Dimera even produce? Did a bit of digging online, and it turns out, DiMera’s major productions are real estate, shipping and telecommunications. However, they also own businesses that deal in clothing, cosmetics and technology. |

Here's how my husband explained it to me when I had this same question years ago: They do not produce anything. They are Investment companies that buy businesses and either lease it back to the original owner or, if the person doesn't want it anymore, a new management will be hired to take over. |

Why do characters live in hotels for extended periods of time when it's so much more expensive than living in an apartment? Thinking mostly about Xander and Chloe. I get that sets are in short supply, but change a few pictures in Allie's apartment and you have a new abode.

People living in hotels for months on end is ridiculous. In some cases like Xander and Gwen they couldn't even afford it. Bring back the Martin House or as Kpatch pointed out reuse the same apartment with different photos and accessories. Let people share apartments. At one point I think it was Sami, Nicole and maybe Austin sharing an apartment. |
