Was it just me, or was this one of the most dismal New Years Eves in Salem history? Everyone seemed depressed and mostly planned to spend New Year's by themselves. And if that wasn't bad enough, Days of Our Lives during the week of 12-27-21 went through a dramatic exorcism for Marlena, only to reveal that the Devil jumped to someone else. www.tvfanatic.com/2022/01/days-of-our-lives-review-week-of-12-27-21-out-with-the-old-in-wi/-- Read the rest on TV Fanatic and then come back to share your thoughts. Another swell weekly recap from Jack. For sure the specter of COVID looms over Days and certainly one could make the argument the swift return of the Devil is a metaphor for the relentless shape shifting virus that has plagued our lives for nearly two years now.

I agree that it was kind of a dismal new year's. I bet the producers wrestled with how to handle it since viewers were likely having a more low-key new year's eve compared with years past. Seeing so many couples lolling around in bed though? That was weird and unnatural.
