Days of Our Lives is doing a Christmas movieHere's a holiday gift for all you Salem lovers: Days of Our Lives is doing its first-ever Christmas movie for Peacock. Soap star Eileen Davidson — who reprised her role as Kristen DiMera in the DOOL spinoff Beyond Salem for Peacock in September — is expected to star in the holiday film dubbed DOOL: A Very Salem Christmas. Davidson announced the project Monday while promoting The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip for the streaming service. Peacock says the movie will also feature other fan favorites. Here's the official logline: "Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas follows Will Horton as he writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline. Using everyone's favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns you'll never see coming." It will drop on Peacock on Dec. 15. ew.com

I like the idea of a Days Christmas special but so far, I’m not excited about it. One of my favorite things about Days is the Christmas episode -the traditions and the warm family feel. That’s something that’s kind of been in short supply the past few years, I guess because of budget issues. If they’re going to do this I hope it involves plenty of fan favorites who don’t get enough air time on the regular show. While I like Eileen and Chandler, Kristen is not the main character want to see for Christmas.

I'm so excited about this! I have a feeling it will be better than the Christmas episode on the real show, which is likely to be ruined by Devil nonsense.
I wonder if they will go for some sort of It's a Wonderful Life type thing.

I never even watched Beyond Salem because the characters didn't draw me in. I'm so excited about this! I have a feeling it will be better than the Christmas episode on the real show, which is likely to be ruined by Devil nonsense. I wonder if they will go for some sort of It's a Wonderful Life type thing. I expect it to be similar to André DiMera 's special Christmas fanfics.

I wonder if they will go for some sort of It's a Wonderful Life type thing. I’m hoping for either that or A Christmas Carol. I’m so excited for this! I love Christmas, as well as what they did for Beyond Salem. I’m sure this will be just as good! Thanks, Kpatch! They were a lot of fun to write!

I'm looking forward to it. If the possession story isn't part of it then it will be much better than what's onscreen.

A trailer has been released!
This looks so good! Not thrilled about Kristen and Leo being around, but the rest looks great! I’m so glad they’re finally bringing back Sydney! And I think I can see Nick in a shot or two with Gabi.

Hmm...looks pretty good. I'm not sure how appropriate I think that last bit is for a "Christmas Movie." Not exactly a Hallmark movie.

Loved the set that looked like the Bob Newhart hotel set. It would be fun to see John running a hotel.

This looks like such fun. I'm so excited to finally meet Sidney and happy to see Will and Sonny. And I'm thrilled Leo is back. My daughter said if they're handing out Christmas miracles then she's shipping Xander and Leo!
The only part that made me cringe was Kristen at the end.
