Who are your favorite fictional parents. Could be from Days but doesn't have to be.

Mine isn't a parent but a parental figure - Mrs. Garrett from The Facts of Life. I've always wanted to have someone like Mrs. Garrett who you could talk to and who gave such great advice and life lessons. I also just find her whole demeanor really comforting.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some but I think if I had to choose fictional parents I'd maybe say the parents in Family Ties. Honestly, I did not grow up an a warm, nurturing family so almost any parents who were shown being loving, understanding and encouraging to their kids were parents I longed for.
Sorry if that's a downer but it's the truth.

Frank Reagan from Blue Bloods for one. And surprising as it may seem, I'd probably choose Emily Gilmore from Gilmore Girls for my mom. I think Lorelai missed out on something very special because she was too busy fighting and being self righteous.

Oooh. I'm gonna have to think about this one for a bit.
My first thought was the Winslow's and the grandmother from Family Matters. Mostly because my grandma played a huge role in raising me.
You guys had great ones too! I even like the dads in Three Men and a baby. They didn't know what they were doing but they jumped right in and figured it out. My dad and my grandma both raised me (my mom stayed gone a lot) so this one and the Full House guys both hit close to home for me.
I know there are some others right there. My mind is just running away with me at the moment.
