Wow!! Today's scenes between Melanie and Dario were excellent!! Well, at least on Mel's part. ;D I just loved how she practically wiped the floor with Dario's face. Her lines today were spot on! "You may be good, but I'm better!" "I've pulled off better schemes in my sleep!" "I hope you don't do this for a living because you suck at it!" This was the Melanie I fell in love with. Spunky, street-smart, with a take no crap from anyone kind of attitude! Way to go!! What did all of you think?

I haven't been home to see it yet, but it already sounds awesome! I can't wait for Melanie to get her groove back. She's been too dour for too long!

I just posted this in the "What is Dario Doing?" thread but thought that it would fit here too, so I am re-posting it!
I am not a fan of Dario so far. I didn't mind his scenes with Mel on today's episode. I thought it was great they were bringing up her past, etc. I didn't see Melanie that way and would have liked to have seen her as the street smart, premier party girl that she was. I really liked how those scenes went and how she was with telling him about her past etc. Melanie was fabulous. I loved how she delivered her lines. I loved the smug look on her face.
There is something about Dario though that just bothers me. I haven't been able to put my finger on it yet...some people keep saying it is his nose...which I definitley don't want to put my finger on LOL but I don't think it is that. I really don't like how he talks. I am not always able to understand him. He mumbles IMO. Hopefully he starts talking clearer sooner rather then later

Hey Sparky, you think someone was listening to us a while back when we complained LOUDLY that the Melanie we liked all but disappeared when Nathan rode into town? Nathan leaves and Mel is baaaack!

I loved when they were at the police station and Brady was hanging on to Melanie and she was swinging away, no feet on the floor. That was great!!

To quote my seven year old who saw that,"That girl has PEP!"lol.Honestly,I really didn't mind the softer side of Mel since she married Philip,BUT it was great to see her ready to fight again.

I loved Mel's scenes today. I don't know how I feel about Dario yet, but Mel was awesome. I'm glad they are finally talking about her past again. For a while there it seemed like we were supposed to forget about her past now that she found Daniel and Carly.

Hi Tammy, welcome to posting.
Agree it was nice to see Spunky Melanie again. She seemed to turn off a switch from needy-sad-want-my-mamma-and-papa-and-Nathan-and-Philip Melanie back to feisty Marseilles Melanie. It was a little jarring IMO. Would have liked to see transitional Melanie.

I kinda liked that there was no transition, for me,it showed that that side of her, even if it lay dormant for the last year or so,was always there, ready to come back to the surface when she needed it.I hope that makes sense.

^^^I agree! That spunky side of Melanie was the REAL her that came out. When you are unguarded, the real you will show up. For Mel it's the spitfire full of "pep." I'm glad to see her. She's way more fun than the girl that's been moping around town for so long now.

I agree DD.While I've loved the softer side of Mel,and the more romantic side of Philip we've seen in the last year or so (I know some didn't like it),I was really ready for their feistier sides to come back out,and it's happening.I'm hoping to see alot more of that with Mel.

Kpatch Transitional Melanie? HaHa! Sounds like Barbie talk. Malibu Barbie, Color me Pink Barbie. Transitianal Melanie. Hmmm. I wonder if Mattell secretly trained us to label our females based upon the current and "new and improved" versions.

Just wanted to echo how fantastic those scenes were! That's the Melanie that Phillip fell in love with, too. I like how they've matured her -- and they've done a good job of keeping that strong-willed thing running underneath all her actions -- but the scenes with Dario were so enjoyable and sharp.
