Is there any movie your friends loved but you hated, or just plain disliked?
For me, it's The Notebook. Left me cold, maybe because it was working so hard to tug at viewers' heartstrings.

I don't know about flat out hated or disliked. There are several movies that some of my friends are like "Yeah, lets watch that again" and I'm ehh. They were ok and fine to watch with a lot of time since the last time I saw them, but they aren't ones that I would sit and watch over and over.
I tend to be more drawn to the movies that critics hate. LOL. Usually if they say it's horrible or mediocre, then I love it. LOL. If they give it rave reviews and that's all I hear about, then I tend to hate the movie. I guess my expectations just get set to high from it to enjoy the movie.

Dazed and confused I hung around with a lot of guys and they thought it was the best movie ever It’s so bad that it’s painful I can’t watch it from start to finish until this day

The Notebook for me too Kpatch . Also The Ring. I thought it was just plain silly and uninteresting. Speaking of silly, my favorite goofy movie is Earth Girls Are Easy.

And Notting Hill and almost anything with Hugh Grant except Four Weddings and a Funeral.

2 movies I hated were shown on bus trips, so I was a captive audience. One was on an Ireland trip. The movie was “The Quiet Man”. The other was on a trip around the southwest. The movie was “True Grit”. I hated that one because a poor pony was ridden to death - done to save a life, but still. After the film was finally over, a guy in the back asked “can we watch it again?”.
