I'll have to think on this. My favorite books when I was a kid were Bridge to Terebithia, Tuck Everlasting, and Tom Sawyer.

Two that I can think of offhand: Autobiography of a Yogi and The Hiding Place. I'll probably add more.

Currently I am reading the Three Pines mysteries by Louise Penny. They are set in Canada - in and near Quebec. A small town with interesting characters. Also, I enjoy the Elly Griffiths Ruth Galloway mysteries. An archeologist who solves old and new crimes.
All time favorites - all the Bronte sisters works - all of Jane Austen - Agatha Christie (especially Miss Marple) - Dorothy L. Sayres, the Lord Peter Wimsey series.
