Oh I forgot to mention Monty Pythons Flying Circus. We used to watch that and Dr. Who on Saturday nights. Yes! Did you ever watch Fawlty Towers? I also like Torchwood. I love classic TV. My all time favorite is the Jack Benny Show, though from that era I also like Burns and Allen, The Honeymooners, and of course I Love Lucy. I also love Leave it to Beaver. From the 1960s: Dick Van Dyke, Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, Andy Griffith, Get Smart. 1970s: All in The Family, Maude, Mary Tyler Moore (and Lou Grant -- the first drama spun off from a comedy!), Taxi 1980s: Meh. Lol I always liked the Cosby Show but that was before I knew what Bill Cosby had done. I used to also like Family Ties but I found it slow and dated recently. 1990s: Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, The Practice. Mad About You (which my BIL claims no one but me remembers but I disagree because it launched Helen Hunt's career) 2000s: nothing really. SVU started in 1999 so I guess that counts but I'm putting it in current shows Current shows: DOOL (of course), SVU and its spinoff Organized Crime, This Is Us, Chicago Med, Blue Bloods. Also the Australian soap Neighbours. Recently canceled shows: Rebel, All Rise, Madam Secretary. British TV: Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Keeping Up Appearances, As Time Goes By, Butterflies Children's TV: Mister Roger's Neighborhood

I haven't seen Fawlty Towers. Sounds interesting I'll have to look it up. Mad about You-I used to watch that too . I don't know if it was one of my very favorites but it was a good one. Madam Secretary I used to watch as well. i Love Lucy is good, but my favorite Lucy series is the Lucy Show, where Mr. Mooney is her boss. He is kind of mean to her but she always outsmarts him. Mr. Rogers- he always seemed so soothing and I used to look forward to the part where he went to the Land of Make-Believe. Electric Company was another one I enjoyed watching. Oh, and there is another british show i just now thought of-Upstairs Downstairs. I didn't watch it a lot but my dad used to love it. Late night there were two weird shows we watched in the summer when we were kids after my parents went to bed-All That Glitters and Mary Hartman Mary Hartman.
And also Welcome Back Kotter and Barney Miller-not absolute favorites but shows I liked.

soaps4ever Omg I can't believe I forgot Welcome Back Kotter and Barney Miller. I liked those too. My brother was a HUGE Doctor Who fan before it was cool to be one. Back in the 80s my dad took him to some conventions. I don't know if he ever met William Hartnell but he met both Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee, neither of whom is with us anymore sadly, and I think he also met Tom Baker and Peter Davison, and some of the actors playing companions. (My favorite classic series Doctor/companion combo was Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning (Jo Grant). He also introduced me to Monty Python and to Fawlty Towers. Fawlty Towers is great. There are only 12 episodes and stars John Cleese as a high strung, frustrated hotel owner who has to deal with his shallow wife and incompetent staff (including a waiter who barely speaks English) as well as customers who are unreasonable. Another British one my brother introduced me to was The Young Ones, which was truly a bizarre show but a lot of fun. Oh! And on the American side, I can't believe I forgot Twin Peaks!

I think Mad Men is probably my favorite show of all time. I’ve loved lots of shows but that’s the only show I remember reading blogs and things about after every episode to analyze what happened and what everything meant. I loved it right thru the last episode too.
I’d also probably have to say Golden Girls. I’ve seen every episode of that show so many time just because it’s so funny and so comforting to me. If I’ve had a bad week or day and I turn that on it’s like an anti-depressant in TV form.
There are probably others but those are the two that come most to mind.

Kpatch No Blue Bloods for you? wendylou I can't believe I forgot Golden Girls! I also enjoyed Empty Nest, a spinoff of Golden Girls about their neighbor, an older man who was still working as a pediatrician.

Lucifer, Bridgerton, Golden Girls, M*A*S*H, Blue Bloods, Are You Being Served, Pretty Little Liars, DOOL, General Hospital, The Addams Family, The Beverly Hillbillys, Night Court, In the Heat of the Night.........I know there are a few others, but they just aren't coming to me at the moment.
Used to be a HUGE fan of House and NCIS but they strayed too far from the original case and they just don't feel the same anymore.
The Golden Palace (spinoff from the Golden Girls that followed Sophia, Blanche, and Rose) was ok. Not as good but it was nice to see how the girls faired after Dorothy left.
