Great roundtable, meemz, heroicmuse and ProudTVJunkie. I guess Ciara's pop-up appearances are to throw Cin fan crumbs. There's no chemistry between Theo and Ciara and their whole relationship has been offscreen. No idea if they've slept together. Ciara is a screaming shrew and her character is one-dimensional and uninteresting. I'm annoyed that Chloe treats Philip like he's an annoying stranger. She is giving him mixed signals and he may not put up with it forever. Oh, who am I kidding. He's been waiting forever for both of them to be single at the same time. I've said this before. I hate triangles. They are overused and unoriginal. I'm disgusted by the Chanel/Allie kiss, but not for the reason you think. Allie is stringing Tripp along. Or maybe she's stringing Chanel along. Either way, this is unfair and she's being completely selfish. I also find it somewhat strange that two of Sami's children end up being gay or fluid or whatever. Maybe Johnny is too. We shall see. |

I don't find that strange at all. I think there is a genetic component to sexual orientation and gender identity. I have several clients who have more than one transgender child and there are many families where one child is gay and the other is bi. There's even been cases of identical twins where one is gay and the other is trans. Fascinating stuff!
As for Allie, she's most likely not aware of her sexual orientation at this point. Chanel is initiating kisses and thus far, Allie is telling her after the fact she's not interested. It's harder to deny after two kisses than one, but that's why I think she needs to talk to Will.

I figured you'd have an answer for that heroicmuse. Allie needs to be honest with Tripp. I was just starting to warm up to her because I like Tripp and I was enjoying their budding romance. If she's not honest with Tripp, even if it's "I'm not sure what I'm feeling," then I'm done with her. |

Kpatch and heroicmuse - I don't think Chanel is consciously stringing Tripp along. She's always thought of Chanel as a friend and I think this attraction to her is new for Allie and it's going to take her time to process it.
The Boston Globe recently did an update on one of its all-time most popular stories, "What Makes People Gay?" They did the first one back in 2005. At the time they met identical twin boys. At 7-years-old, one was outwardly very masculine while the other was gender nonconforming. Then they checked back in with them at 17. The article also looks at genetics, how different hormones during pregnancy can have an affect, how sexual orientation can be affected by birth order, and lots more. I found it fascinating.

I agree Kpatch I hate that she’s stringing him along I can’t say I warmed up to Allie and maybe I should be happy cuz Tripp can do better I just find it hard to believe that anyone would feel anything for someone like channel She’s a terrible person who I noted the show is trying to make a bit more human but I just don’t She’s drooling over Eli’s nudity how many times? She’s gone for Allie and Xander which was obviously about money but she thought he was hot too Her whole persona scream chlamydia to me and anyone who’s with her likely will have the same vibe for being with her |
