SON found this video from about a month ago of a guy named John Gregory Willard testing out for that role as "Ryan". Check it out. I think it's interesting because it sounds like Ryan could be a recast character and not a new one. Some of the things he says:
"I used to work out with Austin", "Dad, this is wedding number four for you.", "Did I learn about trust when you and mom sent me off to boarding school?"
Also, in regards to a wedding, the "Dad" says, "Chloe's the one"
I mean, obviously this isn't a new character. Unless it's a different Austin and Chloe they are talking about. I'm trying to think but am drawing blanks here. Who could Ryan be?
And I hope DAYS doesn't cast that guy in the role. :unsure: He sucks majorly.

Wow, this was a great find. Thanks for posting this GG. Very interesting. The dialogue is pretty cryptic. I am guessing that you think this could be a Philip recast. Maybe Eric Brady. He's a great looking guy. I think he could improve if he weren't playing off some woman who is acting as his father. LOL.

If it's JJ, would that mean he's talking to Jack and that means Jack is coming back??? Somehow, I doubt it. I don't think JJ would be talking about Chloe, and I don't think it's possible that he would have worked out with Austin. Sounds too much like Philip. How many times HAS Victor been married? Would Maggie be #4?
Of course, we're all assuming that this is actual dialogue that will be used. Could just be throw away lines form old episodes and have nothing to do with future stories. But it sure is fun to speculate!
Also, I seriously hope this guy didn't get the part. He doesn't appear to be the same caliber as our fabulous men of Salem. Good luck to him though. Just on another show.

You know what, DD? You are right! I just realized that it's old dialogue and the dialogue has to be Will talking to Lucas, because he mentions 4 marriages and Dad says Chloe's the one. So the actor was just reading some throwaway lines.

Yeah, I just checked out the commentary over at DayRo and this seems to just be an old Lucas/Will script. When Dylan Patton came back to Salem as Will wasn't Lucas preparing to marry Chloe at that time? That would make sense. Now, I hope this isn't a recast for Will! I like Chandler Massey and hope they're not thinking of replacing him. Hopefully this is just another teen to add to the summer teen scene. Plus, the casting call was for white or black so if they were thinking recast, that wouldn't be part of the call. I was thinking if they go with black that he would be Maxine's son. I think that would be great if we could see more of her!  |

I sincerely hope they are not planning to recast Will. I really like Chandler Massey's Will. I would be very diappointed if it was. He could actually be one of Sami's kids. He looks like her a lot and he has great chemistry with her as well.
As for a Philip recast, I was kind of thinking that too. But, then the casting call had asked for caucasian or african-american...hmmm...I love seeing things like this posted and seeinge everyone's speculation. It's fun!
